Classic does that it’s problems, some glaring. But it feels like how a mmo should feel, people actually talking to each other and what not TBC>Classic>Retail imo

I would wager Classic is competitive with retail as far as total players. What I am realizing is that “we think we did… and we did”.

Quality of life?

You mean the additions that made wow into a single player game, an addon that finds group for you so you don’t need to socialize or maintain a reputation? LFR that lets people raid without being part of an actual team?

All of the updates to wow that made it so everyone has access to all the content without maintaining a social reputation is what ruined it.

Only thing that is really bad is the honor system, which you can just totally ignore anyway and still experience 97% of the game.

Removing spell batching would be nice. The unresponsive nature of the game is agonizing. I’ve been messing around on retail to check out the 8.3 stuff, and it makes me weep that I can do my rotations with no delay.

you dont need to cooperate in retail

also people constantly appear and disappear

You don’t need to cooperate in classic either except for raids; which I assume require a lot more cooperation in retail.
