With the amount of toons I have, and the amount of mats in mail I know I have let just slide on into the ether, I am kind of scared to log in right now and look through all of the mail on those toons.
Scared, and … curious. Odd combo.
I didn’t even have auctions up and now I suddenly have tons of mats mailed to me from the AH. Very odd…

I just got inventory bag filling amounts of expired mail from AH today on a toon that hasn’t touched the AH in over a month. I use it daily as a storage toon, so I know the mail wasn’t there a few hours ago.
It literally filled up my bags from zero to full multiple times over today. Literally over a million gold worth of items appeared as mail today.
Can we get a blue post on this???

Same thing happened to me today. One of my toons who used to be my AH toon months ago suddenly received a bunch of expired auctions in mail. He hasn’t listed anything on the AH for at least a few months.
Millions of gold worth of items with like a dozen+ pages appeared in mailbox out of the blue today, so either I really was that passive with forgetting about items dropping off the radar, or something seriously wrong is going on.
NEEDS BLUE POST VERIFYING IF BUGGED OR NOT!

Here’s a thought.
Perhaps you did post some items a couple of months ago. They might have even sold. You collected the gold and moved on.
But what if the person that bought the item never picked it up? The mail is supposed to return to the sender. Would the items be returned to the AH (the last sender), or disappear into the ether (I’ll assume this is what is supposed to happen), or eventually returned to the original seller (this may be a bug)?

I wouldn’t be surprised if they pause the ah or mail system entirely today, or take the game down for emergency maintenance.

a few seem to have a very strong “fair compensation” mentality, which is why you can trust them with all your Valuables.
well that same living steel went missing again. I opened a ticket and supposedly it went into my deleted inventory - after 3 days. I never deleted it, the mail system just ate it.
I am going to move this thread to the bug forum.
If someone is looking at this and notices the tickets - 4 hours later after they said they restored this item it still isn’t showing up in my mailbox even though a second GM said he could see it in there. I can’t and I turned off all my addons and still can’t.
Next day that 10 living steel has still not arrive and now I got a GM that said it has been restored but I never got it. I don’t know what to think of your system, except maybe you got your wires crossed somewhere. There are people in this thread indicating they received large amounts of mats that they don’t appear to know from where. Maybe a bunch of broken links that items are going to the wrong person.

This bug just happened to me as well – I randomly received 4k tomes and some food and feasts out of nowhere.
One thing of note is all the “bugged” items were things I normally sell, so I’m assuming it’s a bug related to expired auctions getting stuck in limbo and being mailed back in bulk at a later date?
Still, 4k feels like an amount I would’ve noticed gone missing…
