Ret has been trash for majority of wow’s almost 20 year old history? Trash in vanilla, trash in tbc, Trash in wotlk after nerfs in 3.3.5 have to play preg hybrid, good in cata, decent in panda, trash all other expansions till dragonflight
pretty sure 90% of the pvp player base are rogues, demon hunters, monks, dks and mages…historically…especially rogues prob most over played class.
Thats more then 50% of the classes in wow that you think are “overtuned”

Well, yes. If you want to bash others, at the very least you probably want to show that you have a basic understanding of the game and your own class.
In the end, a 1200 or 1500 player might as well be playing a different game then someone at 2k or 2.4k. While the 1200 player might not be wrong in their observations of what they see, it isn’t going to apply to someone at higher ratings the majority of times. So when 1500 rets try to talk about skill being the issue to someone that is 2.2-2.4, it’s completely nonsensical.
Am I understanding this correctly? So now that a character’s power (gear/gems/talents/etc.) are at their highest for that season… You’re saying anyone trying to improve as a player is a “sucker”?

Ret is still the best spec in the game (along with Demo probably). It could have been nerfed 10 times and it would still be an over performer at its current level.
And i will always say Git Gud because there will always be a “best spec” or “best class”.
Expecially since this game full 180s its ballance seemingly every couple month.
There is nothing wrong with being able to say, “I recognize Ret is overpowered and it does patch 10.3 damage in patch 10.0.7…”

It’s unfortunate that despite your spec being overpowered you were still unable to accomplish anything meaningful. I’m sure this is rough on you and you’re projecting your own failures and inadequacies, but you should really try to improve your own game before trying to even remotely criticize the ability of other players.
Also, the game improves because players continue to point out what’s wrong.

Seeing Druids and Hunters complain about ret paladin warms my cold dead heart. Everyone’s defense or accusations is either rets are strong or they try to ego stroke and rating shame.

got my first 2500 after slowly battling through rets just before and after this latest nerf on my enhance, either the nerf did go through or i just got better at dealing with them (which i did come up with a fun strat involving shamanism)
