Really the point of that specific post is the pvp community is freaking toxic as hell I enjoy watching them disregard each other and turn violent over a random freaking number that doesnt mean jack all an wont benefit any of them IRL.
People will instantly use rating as the end all be all of arguments so long as their rating is higher, until someone with a similar or higher rating disagrees then o boy the excuses.

What I donât understand about the Rets on this forum is that me personally I would rather win because I outplayed someone rather than just because it is hard to lose as the class I am playing.
I think there is also the issue that when a certain class becomes oppressive levels of good you actually canât have fun playing your spec/class/comp and are forced to play with / as a spec that you donât even enjoy in order to not be completely shutdown every game. This causes frustration which causes the violence you are talking about.

This is no different in PvE. M+ is as, if not more so, toxic than anything you will find in PvP. Anytime you start getting people being competitive, the end result is people being nasty. =/
Sure, but thatâs just the nature of the forum. Just look at this thread. How many people are responding in good faith? Itâs hard to know, so we can only rely on what we can see. If people want to say someone else is bad or itâs a âyouâ problem, then calling that person to task would be a reasonable response.
And yes, while it is just a number, itâs also what the majority of people are working for. This is the arena forum. What matters in arena is your rating. If not, why are you doing arena? Iâm not directing that at you specifically, but rating is the end results of our efforts. There is plenty of other forms of PvP that a number doesnât matter.

Sure do love spending 40 minutes then watching 2 people bungle the last boss.
My ignore list from PvP is probably 10-20 people over the course of a decade. In legion and BFA, I had more than 100+ people added to that list. People just leaving after one wipe. Tanks pulling way more than anyone could handle. Players going afk. Or my favorite⌠sitting in a group for almost an hour, then getting removed for someone else. I was even in discord with one group and they kicked me and then removed me from disc. Couldnât believe it.
I found myself doing this more and more towards the end of SL. Iâd write a little mark down whenever I felt like a run was scuffed (cc/kicks/defensives unused) and ended up having those runs get bricked 90% of the time or something, just 10-25 minutes later.
Thatâs brutal.
