So was BRD an overall failure?

Never seen any groups looking for people, never see anyone wearing the gear, never see anything really from BRD. The silence from blizz makes me think they want everyone to forget it was ever a thing.

Was expecting a massive nerf right at the end of the event to make it worth it but still nothing, sometimes I think I made up the idea it was ever even a raid.

Do you recall anyone praising it? I don’t.

Some folks from our raid team got together on day 2 and cleared 6/8 before we had to drop for our regular raid night. We started with 10 people and quickly learned that there was in fact no scaling as advertised, which was later corrected. We pugged in 5 players and cleared the first six.

We had a blast trying to figure out the strats on the fly, especially since there was very little room for error, but the general consensus was it was wildly overtuned and that the gear wasn’t anywhere near the effort.

We couldn’t convince enough people to finish the lockout and never went back.

Great raid ruined by some masochistic tuning that didn’t seem appropriate for a celebration event.

It seems like they were so worried about it being too easy that we would clear it once and never go back, that they made it so hard we didn’t even clear it once and never wanted to go back.

They do love to cut off their nose to spite their face.

The sad thing is that a large draw of this anniversary event is cosmetic items. Which means it wouldn’t matter if the raid was easy - people will go back to it until they complete their sets.

It was an utter failure. Whoever tuned it should be fired.

Nah, they’re good guys and gals. They love this game and they do what they think is best. I’m sure it’s not easy and they’ll get better with each tier. The raid itself had fun fights that just suffered from awkward tuning.

It felt like either an overtuned celebration event or an unrewarding prog raid, which didn’t seem to resonate with anyone.

The lack of hotfixes to actually make it a fun experience tend to lend the idea that the devs are incompetent or malicious.

I think I did the emperor once in LFR.
