It’s still so useless… Same with the heal absorbs we get for certain talents… HPAL NEEDS Hella love in pvp man.
If they touch Tyr’s, their precious Raid balance is broken.
Same with Barrier of Faith.
They should really consider a disc/prevoker treatment and increase their value in 5 man and pvp only since their impact there is pretty low (non existent)
Honestly i feel like Tyr’s Deliverance just needs a full redesign but the question is how.
Like imagine if it was an actual on demand heal+heal over time that lasted 12 seconds on a 30+1 minute cooldown, but the cooldown could be lowered by X if you cast Holy Light and Holy Shock.
The healing buff should be removed as well as the duration extensions, as i feel those contribute to it being too strong when the button is worth pressing.
Not sure what can be done with Barrier of Faith to be honest, by all accounts the spell doesnt seem bad but i feel like a prism will always just be better skill.
Barrier was nerfed massively though. In DF it used to absorb relatively speaking twice the amount and regenerated based on 50% of Healing done by our builders.
In a world where you are fine with throughput and have more than enough AOE healing (like for example, playing herald), barrier can be a good choice before spot healing a person is needed (for example, corruptors in GB or Infestation in Arakara comes to mind). Hpal right now its not exactly the best spot healer so this might help, however tuning wise right now its just not worth it (in Beta they nerfed Barrier and buffed Prism like 2 times so ofc prism is the default now).
That idea would be great for Tyr’s. Another thing I’ve been thinking its that Tyr’s and Boundless just are not worth taking over Rising Sunlight, Seasons, Or Glorious Dawn, and its positioning in the tree makes possible that if the base ability without Boundless is too strong, then we will always take all those capstones. Needs a redesign for both talents and they need to be careful with placement on the tree, so it actually creates a decision/build diversity for once.
I feel like, at the very least, Boundless only exists to prop up the idea that Tyr’s is the Caster paladin skill, but in doing so made the spell too strong.
I mean, Tyr’s Deliverance lasting upwards of 40 seconds on a an effective 20-30 second cooldown was nuts.
If Tyr designed to be a regular ability then it wouldn’t need Boundless and thus could be placed anywhere else in the tree. If they want Tyr to be a capstone, it has to not only stand on it’s own it also can’t be so oppressive it kills half the tree, like Seasons has been doing most of it’s life.
I wish they honesrly just made this spell ashen hallow in the spec tree that you can extend the timer of by casting within it.
Of all the recent spells ashen hallow was my fav.
I’d give an arm for Vanquisher’s Hammer back. The last season of SL with VH when Solo shuffle was released was the easiest 1800 I ever got. I could bait DPS behind a pillar and just smash them with VH and throw out a massive WoG + 40 yd LoD to full heal everyone.
God’s I was strong back then.
They need to separate a PVP spec aka TALENTS to PVP and to PVE TO PVE.
Imo if they do this it can truly change how classes work in pve compared to their PVE counterparts.
It would truly create individuality again in classes.
Tyr’s deliverance for pvp has no offer just as GOLDEN PATH to you in PVE offers nothing.
Let’s stay on track here. PVP is what I am speaking on, not pve.
They CAN fix this, they don’t want to.
I mean, In PvE is equally as useless.
But yeah, I do agree. To a certain extent they keep making changes that only apply to PvP every now and then in patch notes. They just haven’t really done anything to fix it in neither game mode.
So newbie pally who only really does arena on mine but, what are the issues people have with Tyr’s? It seems decent enough in arena.
