She just died and falls into her own venom and disappears. This is a world ending threat apparently and her prison is unlocked. She already died to an old god general but literally returned to life on her own while imprisoned. What’s stopping her from just returning and walking out the door now that it was opened?
Wasn’t she from the rift and a dream creature to start with? It kinda tracks
Yee, though she’s here to stay now as she already rezzed on her own after her first death. Maybe she’s tied to the ardenweald rebirth cycle now, as she’s pretty much a wild god/loa now. More an evil one like hakkar, but yeah.
I wouldn’t worry about it too much. We never heard of her before. We’ll just go right back to not hearing about her again.
still better than s1 plot
“World ending” Ok hold on there, lets not give her that much credit lol.
Assuming she can come back, nothing is stopping us from putting guards/warnings spells/devices that will simply be the alarm bell to get Azeroth to come back and kick here back to wherever the hell spawns her.
the virgin ulatek
- amani forgot about her
- can only master one animal
- hides underground
- falls into her own slime
the chad hakkar
- everyone fears his summoning
- stands high on a temple in dominance
- followers can master snakes too, doesnt build his whole identity over just that
- wipes people even outside the raid
I was wondering this myself as I did the quest and the open dungeon… still have ways to go!
The island is literally oozing Ula’tek’s Aberrant Toxic Life energy everywhere, which got me wondering: when she defeated Kith’ix, did she eat him? Or did that mutagenic venom transform/evolve him?
Because imagine Ula’tek consuming Kith’ix and sealing his essence inside an egg… only for him to eventually break free with a horrifying new look.
Oooo the possibilities! ![]()
And if the Dark Heart survives, Iridikron using Ula’tek’s essence to animate Chromatus would be absolutely insane (IMO). Give that thing enough intelligence to pretend to behave until it gets the chance to break free… Oh maybe even be the missing link for Dracthyr problem to procreate… minus the chest bursting! LOL can you imagine baby dracthyr bursting through their parents chest like Aliens! haha ![]()
Oh so many plot points to use… I should write these down for the WoW D&D books. If they don’t give my friends enough undead/RPG material, I guess I’ll just make my own side quests.
Annnnd now all this RPG talk has me thirsty for more. Back to Vampire: The Masquerade for inspiration, especially since someone in our group wants to play a Blood Mage like the ones from Ascension. So, I’ll have a backup to try and get my inspiration elsewhere, just in case WoW isn’t going to expand the undead beyond the usual Forsaken or Scourge/DK/Shadowlands stuff in the new D&D books or in the TLT. ![]()
Back to reading!
PS: Thanks Benediktion for reminding me about Vampire the Masquerade existence!
What world ending threat? Cause thats def not Ula’tek. You giveing her to much credit.
Also perfectly simulated how a disease can run rampant through a population to the point that it was used in actual epidemic studies.
I do like how the Blood Plague event was referenced as being an actual thing during the early days of Zandalari history. The first two bosses of Kings Rest came to exist because of this.
And of course the plague events in Wraths and Shadowlands prepatches were inspired by the Corrupted Blood incident.
Nu-blizzard would never be able to do peak like that, they try to hard and fail spectacularly
