just got out of a match on ruins on lordaeron map that was full range with Demo, SP, MM.
what tf am I suppose to do in that situation?? was trying my best to pillar with what little is there but both healers just kept getting on to me for just trying to survive?

Yeah, gotta find your windows because just trying to gas pedal somebody will often result in you getting dragged a bit, your healer being in an awkward spot then some efficient trades until you die or are set horribly behind.
if your healer and wizard refuse to go in with you, you will autolose if you don’t get some extreme luck
this is one of many reasons shuffle is terrible
Was in a 2200mmr shuffle with This lifetime multiglad ret pally main named notae on my rsham and he was playing every round great on defense using cds at the perfect time and insta sancing my ccs and never overlapping his defensives when he didn’t need to and giving me full value out of my eartherns and managing to los enemy burst windows all while keeping up with everyone in damage EVERY ROUND but he finished 1-5 because it was a demo destro spriest lobby

I just didnt know what I was suppose to be doing, both healers were cussing me out both rounds even though I was doing whatever I could to just stay alive
Play conservatively and hope that somebody gets impatient and throws, I think. That’s as close to a reliable option as you have because some lineups you’re just destined to go even, negative or horribly negative.
I recommend downloading obs and recording your gameplay so others can see specifically what ur doing.
But in general if the enemy isn’t popping cooldowns on you and ur healer is not ccd it’s fine to just run in and pump. If the other caster is babysitting ur healer u shouldn’t chase ur kill target across the map because this will put ur team in a position to lose instantly
If you ween and Pillar hump when you are completely fine and don’t need to then ur actively throwing the game
You wanna get full value out of ur defensives maybe even run BM trinket into triple caster for bigger absorb shields and try to lay on hands early since damp ramps fast.
When you do have wings/crusader you want to get full value and Absolutely CRANK and force all the enemy defensives. Consider blind hojjing the healer if nobody else on ur team is landing cc
I’m not a ret player tho but when I play with rets in shuffle I can tell a MASSIVE difference between the good and bad ones(most of them suck)
While that’s a reasonable response I hate that that -is- the reasonable response. Hoping that someone else messes up for you to succeed just isn’t good gameplay.
This isn’t to say that the key strat should just be to ape at people the whole match but I think that being a common scenario currently just doesn’t feel good.
Being the only Melee DPS in Zandalar or Blade’s Edge just feels like hell even if I pull out a 4/6.

Why do you have 5 pieces of tier on? 1 of those pieces need to go for verse.
Verse gives damage reduction, it’s the most important stat to stack in pvp.
Fix your gear then learn to play properly, it has nothing to do with the current meta, i win with rets on my team vs casters all the time.
Also, why do you not have the bloody token weapon 1 month in the season? You don’t even know the basics of gearing how do you expect to know the basics of arena?

Yea the people hardstuck at 1300 rating like you, you get 30% first then you work on other stats, but sure don’t go verse at all, im sure you will get past 1300 rating someday and you can blame everyone but yourself.
Most awc players were around 40% verse, so whoever disagrees is an idiot.
again, literally just started arena last night. Not all of us have time to sit down with our thumb up our you know what playing this game 24/7
