I mean they’re all over the place and it’s been like that since BfA.
(Misread title)
Pretty sure op is talking about botting rather than spec balance.
@OP: I think they are taking action, just takes a bit since they do them in waves.
Oh I missed the botting word
yeah I’ve noticed a lot of them too, when I’m leveling alts I see this mass of dead bodies and all the mobs being tagged by something and there is this like group of moonkin standing around spamming starfall. They’re…kind of a pain as it also seems when too many people tag a mob and you’re not grouped with said people the mob turns grey so even if you hit them you can’t get credit. Worse I was needing to kill some of the mobs these moonkin were seemingly farming exp off of… and I couldn’t just go somewhere else
what do you want to talk about that hasn’t already been said?

Well don’t just sit there get going!
Though actions against cheaters need to be taken, maybe someone needs to take a look at that specs’ design. There’s a reason they’re all moonkins.
funny enough… I never see moonkin spam in revendreth or in maldraxxus… always ardenweald and bastion spamming starfall farming anything that can be skinned. Sorta… awkward that I made a druid to get the leather armor from necrolords who skins… but these guys are making it hard for me to convince myself to play them fearing I’ll be mistaken for one of these guys all by my lonesome
AFAIK, low level mobs in Shadowlands give the exact same mats to skinners as high level mobs. So why go for the high level ones when you can just demolish the low level ones for the same benefit?
go hang outside the aptly name “BOTanica”.
are all of those druids too?
…just because you’re only noticing druids, doesn’t mean they’re the only class being used to bot.
So did I, here I thought it said moonkin buts. Got a whole new keg of ale just for that…hic!
No idea. In fact, I’m wondering why it’s only boomkins I’m seeing. What’s so special about them?
true I mean druid may be popular choice but I’ve seen bot hunters and bot death knights doing stuff like this too… not of late though but only because I think they moved on to somewhere else. Wonder if they’re the same crazy people putting stacks of oh say copper ore on the auction house for ten gold a piece…
for open world stuff… just standing in one spot, they’ve got a good heavy damage spell which lets them stand in one spot and spam.
they can herb in travel form, no need to mount/dismount
…but instead of neutering a class, i’d prefer to see heavy crackdowns on gold buyers.
Blizz can only keep up so much with the bots.
All we can do is report them and hope they get removed fast enough.
So here is my take on this;
Obviously, botting has existed in WoW for a very long time. As long as there is money to be made, there will be entities that make the software and farm. Before, we could make a report and, a lot of times, there would be action ( or they would at least take a look ) in a timely manner. However, since Blizzard has gone mostly to a minimal staff/GM model, they rarely physically look at accounts. Instead they try to identify them by algorithms and patterns. Unfortunately, this takes a long time and every time they find something, you can sure bet these people making the bots find a way around it. Again, if they can make money at it, they are going to find a way to do it. As it always has been, if people would stop buying from these sources, it would help curve it.
I remember back in vanilla and BC when bots were mostly hunters because of how easy the class was to solo with compared to others.
No one was threatening to nerf your class over bots lol it’s just the fact that most botters people see are boomkin because it’s a great botting class. You guys do needa lil nerf tho.
i have 2 druids, and rarely play either of them.
it’s not “my class”, and i don’t feel threatened.
…although that did seem to be quite a knee-jerk reaction to my post.
i hope you weren’t offended at my suggestion that they crack down harder on gold buyers.
