So Transmogs Locked Behind Levels?

Blizzard should remove the bars honestly.

You mean remove leveling entirely?

Precisely. :upside_down_face:

This is just wrong. You can’t equip the level 35 gear from Siege of Orgrimmar at level 10, but you can use it as transmog.

Honestly, leveling should stay and needs to be made a bit harder. Leveling should be a thing forces you to learn how to player your class with basic competence

Well clearly I was joking. I don’t want leveling to go anywhere honestly, but the way it is now with 1 level surpassing a zone’s maximum having you suddenly one shot everything immediately instead of gradually scaling in power like it used to be

I hate it.

Since when? That’s how it used to be. The level squish might have messed with levels a bit.

That only happens in pre-BFA expansion when you hit level 50 and exit chromie time.

The level squish, world scaling, and chromie time changed things. Now you need to be at level to do an expansions content to use the mog, which means level 10 for basically everything pre-SL.

In 7.3.5 with the old world scaling introduction, all BC/Wrath mogs had their level requirement lowered to 60 (from 70/80), all MoP/Cata rewards had their level requirement lowered to 80 (from 90/85).

Then the level squish and chromie time arrived and messed with it again.

sepulcher gear looks garbage so perfect for lowbies

Not exactly, there’s multiple ‘level threshold’ gates in place with t-mog unlocks still from back in the day of the ‘pick expansion for this level range’ for leveling, so things from say
WoD or B4A do have level gated locks on them prior to just the ‘current content’ lock

With Chromie Time I never get to enjoy that feeling of gradually leveling past a zone’s mobs over time to the point where when they once gave me a hard time I could now kill them in seconds.

It was a gratifying feeling to know that which each level I got, I was progressively growing stronger against the world’s monsters. Now it’s just
one easy level past a zone’s max and bam, you’re a god and can now decimate everything in sight inside that zone.

I just tested this by logging onto a random level 10 that I haven’t played in so long she had pre-cata Westfall stuff in her bags, and although some of her gear wasn’t moggable because its ilvl was too low, the pieces that were eligible for mogging could be mogged to BfA and pre-60 Shadowlands appearances, which tbh feels freaking weird. I don’t like it at all.

Good to know, thanks. I never bother transmogging my gear until I’m done leveling so I never noticed.

I wasn’t trying to say what it should be, I was trying to say what it is, and how it got there.

You should be able to tmog all gear. You have found the gear. Let the player use the cosmetic. No level cap.

Necro aside, it’s very close to this already. The only expansion you can’t use mog from at level
(1? 10?) is the current expansion. While I’d support removing the restriction, I also don’t feel strongly about them wanting current expansion appearances to be used by higher leveled characters.
