I was eating something while listening to music with headphones. The food tasted different for some reason, so to make sure I removed my headphones to taste it better.
That’s your irrelevant information of the day. Tune in tomorrow for more, if I remember, of course.

Is it irrelevant, though? You’ve only got so much bandwidth for sensory data. A man’s gotta prioritize.

Silly goof, you are supposed to put your headphones on your ears, not your nose!
(silly joke, remarking on the fact that a lot of taste comes from being able to smell your food)

That would be a lack of taste, not things tasting different.

Is that taste, or just smell? I haven’t paid a whole lot of attention to this symptom, since my sense of smell has been largely inop since a long-ago accident in chem lab.

Music can really change how I am feeling, so I bet it could make eating a certain food a different experience.

Of course not everyone has those symptoms. About the only almost guaranteed ones are persistent cough, shortness of breath and fever. And not everyone has those either.
