Honestly, why is he even there? He’s not a member of the Horde, he’s a dad. Leave him on his farm.
I’m talking about your idiotic notion that “the Horde can’t be in the story because the story that doesn’t have Horde in the story shouldn’t have Horde in the story”.
What IS TWW about?
“The War Within is an underground expansion about the Earthen.”
Okay. So why is Alleria so prominent?
“The War Within is about Alleria and her struggle against Xalatath.”
Weird! I thought The War Within is an underground expansion about the Earthen.
“It’s about both.”
Oh, okay. So why can’t we have a Horde story tacked on as well, with Horde characters.
“Because TWW isn’t about that.”
What is TWW about, then?
“It’s an underground expansion about the Earthen and also about Alleria and her struggle against Xalatath.”
I see. So what about Anduin and the new humans from across the sea? Why are they here?
“Because they’re part of what the expansion is about.”
I thought that The War Within was an underground expansion about the Earthen and also about Alleria and her struggle against Xalatath. Why is it now about Anduin and the new humans from across the sea?
“Because The War Within is an underground expansion about the Earthen and also about Alleria and her struggle against Xalatath and also about Anduin and the new humans from across the sea.”
etc.
etc.
etc.
And I expected Thrall to have his own inner conflict regarding his struggle with the elements and perhaps his overall thoughts on the Horde after the Fourth War.
Ya you’re wrong.
You dont insert characters who have no ties to the things going on in the story just for representation.
Thats how you get the absolute slop hollywood has been shoveling out.
Moira and dwarves are involved because these are their ancestors.
Alleria is involved because she is possibly the only npc to have a real connection to xalatath.
Anduin has been predicted long ago by velen to lead a army against the void etc.
It isnt a idiotic notion, it’s common sense. Something you clearly lack.
Nobody at Blizzard gives a crap about Horde players, or the Horde.
Yes, but Gallywix isn’t horde anymore. So this really isn’t his problem.
Neither was Garrosh. Didn’t stop Thrall from killing him.
Garrosh was his personal problem, like Gallywix is gazlowe and the PC goblins problem. Factions do not come to play here.
Goblin story for goblin players and cartels
He was the fool who let him remain Trade Prince.
Yeah, but not the one who kept him around. That was garrosh, Voljin and slyvanas, even with the goblins of bilgewater hating him.
But again, this isn’t a faction problem, this is a goblin problem. Only reason alleira even goes down there is because of the void issues popping up.
Then she leaves after that issue is finished.
Makes me think that the Horde canonically did become part of the Alliance during the time gap between SL and DF. Why else would they have a smaller presence recently?
Staff changes at Blizzard.
A goblin companion in this season delves would have been perfect counter-choice to Brann.
EVERYONE was talking about how the season 2 companion would be Horde-themed. Either a goblin, or Talanji back when people thought we were going to interact more with the new trolly people.
But no. It was just more smoke and mirrors from Blizzard.
Heck, even the sin’dorei-lead Reliquary org would have been a great group to pull from. Bloodwatcher from Cata, i think the exact opposite to Ally’s Brann, or any of the newer NPCs from DF would have been solid choices. Though, personally a goblin would be incredibly thematically appropriate for this patch.
At least he isn’t like Baine during SL. Poor Baine just sit all alone or Orbis crying non stop.
Baine wasn’t alone all the time. Thrall sits down next to him after you rescue him.
And then they sat there crying, together.
he’s currently being a stoner with the stormriders, hes gonna be a bit slow until that high wears off
?
Zandalar trolls, Blood Elves and Nightborne have a tie to Titan artifacts. Not as direct as dwarves, and gnomes, but a link could definitely be established through the Reliquary (for blood elves & Nightborne) and the fact that Zandalaris’ home is a literal titan facility.
Tauren, blood elves and Zandalari can have a link to Hallowfall and Beledar by virtue of being adept light wielders and exploring the relationship between rezan, anshe and the light.
Many of the forsaken would have perished to the Scourge’s Nerubians so there’s your link to Azj Kahet.
Trolls as a progenitor race have a very strong link to harranir.
So this “you don’t insert characters into the story who don’t have a link” is bogus thinking and demonstrates a limited imagination and understanding of the IP.
…In a faction-based MMO.
Sounds real stupid when you step back and think about it, yeah?
And before anyone misrepresents what I’m saying: I’m not even necessarily asking for two separate stories. Just a bit more balance in the story we already have.
