You dont insert characters who have no ties to the things going on in the story just for representation.
Thats how you get the absolute slop hollywood has been shoveling out.
Moira and dwarves are involved because these are their ancestors.
Alleria is involved because she is possibly the only npc to have a real connection to xalatath.
Anduin has been predicted long ago by velen to lead a army against the void etc.

Garrosh was his personal problem, like Gallywix is gazlowe and the PC goblins problem. Factions do not come to play here.

Yeah, but not the one who kept him around. That was garrosh, Voljin and slyvanas, even with the goblins of bilgewater hating him.
But again, this isn’t a faction problem, this is a goblin problem. Only reason alleira even goes down there is because of the void issues popping up.
Then she leaves after that issue is finished.
Makes me think that the Horde canonically did become part of the Alliance during the time gap between SL and DF. Why else would they have a smaller presence recently?

EVERYONE was talking about how the season 2 companion would be Horde-themed. Either a goblin, or Talanji back when people thought we were going to interact more with the new trolly people.
But no. It was just more smoke and mirrors from Blizzard.

Heck, even the sin’dorei-lead Reliquary org would have been a great group to pull from. Bloodwatcher from Cata, i think the exact opposite to Ally’s Brann, or any of the newer NPCs from DF would have been solid choices. Though, personally a goblin would be incredibly thematically appropriate for this patch.

Zandalar trolls, Blood Elves and Nightborne have a tie to Titan artifacts. Not as direct as dwarves, and gnomes, but a link could definitely be established through the Reliquary (for blood elves & Nightborne) and the fact that Zandalaris’ home is a literal titan facility.
Tauren, blood elves and Zandalari can have a link to Hallowfall and Beledar by virtue of being adept light wielders and exploring the relationship between rezan, anshe and the light.
Many of the forsaken would have perished to the Scourge’s Nerubians so there’s your link to Azj Kahet.
Trolls as a progenitor race have a very strong link to harranir.
So this “you don’t insert characters into the story who don’t have a link” is bogus thinking and demonstrates a limited imagination and understanding of the IP.
