I finally got to the second part of the daily ‘training’ quests at the peak of serenity on this character - the one where you have to fight ms. healer chick and interrupt her heals with spear hand strike.
Problem is, This whole time I’ve been leveling and playing as mistweaver. They didnt tell me before I accepted the challenge that I needed spear hand strike. I dont have spear hand strike as a mist weaver, it’s only for brewmaster and windwalker.
So, I start the fight, and then realize I cant kill her, I cant disengage from the fight, and I cant change my spec without getting out of combat. Even tried bowing to her again to concede, that didnt work, ended up having to kite her around until I could use zen pilgrimage again and teleport out, then switch specs and start it all over.
Sure would’ve been nice to know before hand…

They really need to just give it back to the two melee healers in the game, its bs that resto shamy gets to keep theirs and its the shortest interrupt cd in the game.
If you incap one of her heals you can kill her as MW np. They don’t have that much HP.

Typical belf paladin.
I’ve been leveling as mw since level 10, and stopped doing world quests at level 15, been nothing but healing dungeons since. Is there something wrong with playing the spec and gameplay you enjoy?

Sure go dps spec was a valid argument, back in wrath. Cata they designed the game since so you should be allowed to level as the spec you intend to play at max lvl. So you can have the chance to get familiar with the spec in question.

Just bumping this, it’s still a problem. Just had to let her beat me, because even stuns and paralysis don’t interrupt her heal.
It’s because you have to be a ww to do it now unfortunately.
Well it is coming back to all 3 specs in Shadowlands
