So this dungeon requirement for the Spark

If there are people out there who have social anxiety or whatnot and are too stressed to pug it, just let me know. We’ll form a group for it and get y’all through it on Normal for the quest. It’s not like some of us don’t have alts that will need it, too and we’ve got all week. :+1:

Edit to add: Since this this thread went way downhill with people acting offended or being disrespectful, etc… if you’re too afraid to post here now, please send me in game mail and let me know what days and times work for you. Due to how this thread has gone, there’s no way I’m posting my Btag, but in game mail to Thallia is more than welcome from those who need a helping hand with this quest!

my friend dragged me to mythic with him for the renown 19 story and it actually was just as stressful to do on normal as it was on mythic.

Not to be argumentative, but every single N/H pug dungeon I’ve done in DF, nobody has said anything other than “do you need that?” if something drops, or nothing at all until they’re leaving and it’s “gg” or “ty.”

Maybe I’ve just been incredibly lucky but I don’t see where the social anxiety would begin in a dungeon run where nobody speaks at all, to anyone else. Just go in, play your class, get your objective and leave.

It’s because a massive amount of those complaints come from people who had one very bad experience and they drag it and make it seem like its the norm.

In reality, a lot of the dungeon runs/queues EVEN M+ keys, are all normally quiet.

We’re all here to do our roles, get our loot, thank the party for being competent.

On to the next.

Because there is really no difference between a normal and a mythic 0 depending on group make up.

I think you’re being generous. Way more likely that most of these complaints are bait threads.

This. Most dungeons are like running with NPC characters. Everyone just does the dungeon without any interaction and 15 minutes later, it’s over

Yes, I know. People with anxiety disorders don’t exist.

Talking isn’t the issue for some people. It’s being with strangers, people who didn’t invite them, feeling they aren’t part of the group, feeling they won’t do well around complete strangers, etc.

Let’s open up those minds, people.

It’s literally complete the dungeon on Normal…

Good thing I said:

Stopped reading there.

Being with people in an MMO?
Feeling like they are not part of the group as in what exactly…
Wont do well around complete strangers? Odds are you will never see these people again in your life, who cares?

i am clinically diagnosed with social anxiety disorder and take meds for it and i do normals and mythics and m+ just fine

the norm for many years now have been completely dead silent dungeon runs, sometimes days without ever finding a group that will type in chat

It’s called “having an open mind” and “empathy” and “being helpful” for those you may not understand. Sorry that’s so hard for people around here.

Everyone is different. I’m just trying to help people out so they aren’t upset by the quest.

Why is that so bad?

You took the “who cares” part of that and ran in your own direction.

I said one normal run will not kill you, the odds of you people paired with the same people again are less than the lottery. WHO CARES if you dont do “amazing” … Just get it done and get out. NO ONE cares how you do when everyone will be just trying to get it done as well.

And yet, the OTHER MMORPG seems to work in a way that makes such afflicted people feel welcome and important.

Over to you, Blizz.

Nope.

But keep being you.

Typical GD. Op makes a post offering to help out others and y’all come in and flame them or anyone who might want that help. :person_facepalming: And then you wonder why ppl call the community toxic.

Perhaps it’s just my experience with the genre, but every MMORPG I’ve ever played (and I’ve played all the big ones except FF14) required some sort of group play, at end game anyway. Its kinda part and parcel of the genre… ya know the MMO part of it… playing with other humans?

I truly didn’t mean this in a judgmental way, I am genuinely curious. If someone is petrified of any social interaction why would they intentionally go into a hobby that is super social? Just don’t get it. To each their own, not trying to tell anyone what to do.
