Since we already had a new race in TWW it would make sense to delay a new race on top of that until the next expansion. The idea of something being consumer friendly is based solely on that consumer. It’s not an objective construct. Some people will pay triple the price for 1/3 of the content. Others will pay 1/3 of the price for triple the content. It just depends on that specific consumer and what they feel is a marketable value.
few people remember bfa.
Even before that we had new races that came with Legion. However, the other thing fewer people remember is the big announcement when Metzen returned announcing that they were going to move it break neck speeds meaning they wouldn’t have as much time to jam in everything they would normally put in a 24 month expansion.
their source is they made it the f up
tthey’ve said this many times and it never happens. anyone expecting less than 2 years for midnight is delusional beyond words.
/raises paw.
Predictions are currently claiming at this pace. We should see midnight sometime in mid February. TWW launched in of last year. August 26 to be precise. So as long as midnight launches before February 26, we will have about 18 months in this expansion instead of 24, which is why we are only getting three seasons instead of four. if we don’t get midnight until August, then yes, this will be a two-year expansion.
I won’t buy the new expansion until more final decisions have been made. So far there are not many things I am interested in. But that might change in the Future.
not necessarily, there was a concept art leak showing concepts/plans for tww and among them was a place called the rootlands, presumably a working title for where the haranir would have been located, and i think in tww alpha/beta there was a non-functional portal that could have potentially lead there
It was pretty obvious they were meant to be playable before Midnight but something behind the scenes changed their plans. I’m assuming this had everything to do with the trilogy and cadence change - because TWW was made before Metzen and the trilogy was fully put into place. Rootlands was also meant to be a place, but again, the trilogy became a thing and that probably got cut along the way.
To be fair housing alone makes it worth it for me.
But I am aprehensive about most of these class changes. My fav spec/hero spec is getting gutted in the way it is even appealing for me in the first place. But that happens whether or not I buy the expansion.
Absolutely buy the content you’re interested in.
How long have you been playing?
They do this every 3 or 4 expansions. Huge major changes!! Players Panic and Threaten to QUIT!! THIS TIME I REALLY MEAN IT!!!
And then in half an expansion everything is back to normal.
I don’t mind that they waited, the associated zone and the creatures and what not in there look really cool.
Changes don’t always bother me. It’s gutting. I didn’t like it when they did it in cata, and especially when they did it in WoD.
But regardless it’s not ensured to be a dealbreaker I may just choose a new main.
Remember he conveniently says the media file is corrupted - so i would take it with a grain of salt.
Another race I’m never going to play?
Oh nooooo…
I love World of Warcraft, but they always go out of their way not to give us what we’ve wanted for 20 years and instead give us some crazy-looking race no one asked for. I still want my two-headed ogre mage or warlock, or my Vrykul wearing my best thong so I can annoy people in a raid by blocking their line of sight. Call me crazy.
Broke people. (Like me!)
Well I’m playing Haranir, but would NEVER play Earthen or Mechagnomes.
