I swore back in BfA that I would seriously reconsider playing this game if they again created a relatively small zone towards the end of the expac and include materials collected there that were required for high level crafting.
And here they are apparently doing it again.
Datamining shows two new items so far: First Flower and Progenium Ore. So once more we will have bot farming rife in the zone making it extremely difficult for any honest crafter to get the items needed to level up or create the items they are necessary for.
If this is so, I am seriously over Blizzard’s decisions. It’s as if they just wipe their memories each expansion and start over again making the same mistakes. Or maybe they aren’t mistakes, maybe its deliberate. And that’s even worse.
Big part of the problem is the farming area is shared by multiple servers. And if people start manipulating the price on the AH and creating a bubble you end up getting everyone farming for AH speculation.
Farming 100 zin went from taking less than 10 minutes to over an hour and you could set your watch to the AH manipulation cycle of buying everything up selling for a while then aggressively driving prices down and buying it all up.
So the prices goes way up and it becomes impossible to farm. Wasted so much of peoples time in my guild trying to farm mats for raid.
I’d say come to classic/tbcc for a break. But yeah…they on some servers keep the lights on for the 6 days a week raid loggers take the night off lol.
I noticed day 1 of that patch that they nerfed the respawn rate of that herb hard. But people wanted to blame multiboxers, not an intentional change by Blizzard that would reduce supply at a time when a new raid was going to be increasing demand for that herb for consumables.
Are you channeling Celebrate?
It’s all about token sales. This is deliberate. It is not a mistake.
Lmfao. And when flying is enabled, prepare for the swarm of druid botters to descend. I still remember doing /who’s in nazjatar and getting wall to wall druids.
Crafting was always an optional thing. Until Wrath people had more of a social thing about buying crafter stuff than actual need of it. But compared to what it became from mid Wrath onwards, crafting back then was “super”.
Blizzard changed the rules regarding multiboxing, not botting. MBoxing software or hardware mechanisms used to mirror commands to multiple World of Warcraft accounts at the same time, or to automate or streamline multiboxing in any way is banned.
But botting is an entirely separate issue and botting software is separate from that which operates multiple accounts. They are supposedly battling botting all the time but it flares up significantly when new materials come into the game.
Ya, and I made a lot of money and zin buying when it got low and relisting below the pain point where they would buy it up.
But the problem is a small number of people playing speculation made the game a whole lot worse for everyone that was just trying to farm some mats. Just in my guild it was adding 10’s of hours of farming per week.
Very similar to how a small handful people playing speculation on wall street made things a whole lot worse for everyone when the housing bubble they created popped in 2008.
I’m soooooo sick of their childish games to manipulate players. I’m about ready to tell em to take their carrot and shove it where the sun don’t shine!
