Distribution chains, sales and retail participation play a big role in where this stuff is going to be offered.
My beef is that Blizzard is again using a 3rd-party vendor to have access to in-game content that should be available to every player worldwide without requiring the purchase of products that not everyone has access to.

In this case it’s warranted because of the scalping. If the Mountain Dew to get the blue robot costs $10, the scalpers will grab up that Mountain Dew and sell the codes for $15.

But if Blizz just sells the pet for the $10, then no one will scalp.

Well it’s about marketing.
They’re using the boxes as a billboard.

Also, it’s Microsoft now, so it’s not just WoW, all of their games are on different packages for the promo.

Well, think about it from this perspective. Who is going to pay $10 for something when if they pay $10 for Mountain Dew, they get that thing for free?

  1. Diabetty who is too fat to get out her door
  2. Someone who saw her trying


And that’s it. Everyone else will be very happy to get that Mountain Dew and the promo is working as intended. I want some of that blackberry dew so bad. If it tastes like blackberry lifesavers I will become Diabetty.

Ppl been doing that sort of stuff forever. A Chase funko pop will release and there will be 5 guys that don’t care about Funko standing outside the store before it opens to resale it. During covid it was the worst. Sports cards and PokĂ©mon cards were insane. Before that and still to some degree is shoes.

The wow flavors aren’t in my area. But I picked up a few overpriced 12 packs that still had the code. Mount is pretty awesome, GL.

If it’s like the worm pet redemption you only get it if you send in a picture of your receipt, meaning anyone buying the mtn dew from ebay is just burning their cash for nothing.
