So the druid class dev has quit, hints why there are no changes to druid trees, and now it’s a matter of “are we going to go into Dragonflight with 0 druids”. The only thing you will likely see is Balance/Resto while Feral/Guardian are terrible. I wonder if Blizzard are working on finding a new Druid dev, because this is one of the most important cycles in the expansion where we can give feed back and make changes to the classes/specs. Hope Blizzard finds one soon
They want to return to their Classic roots with Dragonflight.
So this means having classes where the devs for them don’t actually play those classes. Sorry Druids, but Hunters took their turn back in Vanilla.
They might also start messing with your stats. Strength increases melee damage so it’s just like Agility after all, right?
I think you forget that Hunter was more wanted than Druid back in Vanilla, only thing a druid could do was heal and even then you would just bring a priest instead.
You could combat rez, innervate, and… uh, one of you could heal.
Rejuv didn’t stack as I recall so literally only one of you could heal at a time.
Yea pretty much only thing you had was innervate. Poor feral/boomy couldn’t even get into a raid if they tried
After all the favoritism the Druid dev has given your class over the years, (the most perks, Druid form transmogs, instant travel form etc)
I’m glad they are gone.
The only thing we have is instant flight form… If you are talking about herbing while mounted then you can buy a mount for 40k that can do the exact same thing
Oh, you mean the forms we spend 70% of the game in? Interesting, I guess all the other classes need to be limited to only 4 different transmogs
It’s always the people who don’t do dungeons, lfr heros, and don’t do pvp that always have bad takes
Seems to me it’d be nice for every class to have devs that want us to feel cool and have unique perks to being our classes that doesn’t necessarily affect damage meter performance.
Why should I have to buy it when you get it by default?
Why can’t I fly down and pick herbs without being dismounted without spending 40k or more for it.
That is by your choice.
This has zero bearing on the discussion, doing higher end content doesn’t automatically make you right…
Take poor DH, they can’t even get a THIRD spec and you have 4, in fact nobody else has 4.
And what are you even talking about, you BARELY do anymore content than me, You haven’t done any raiding on that toon, not even LFR, and your pvp is just a hair more than mine ex wise.
And you’ve done M 15, grats I guess, if not for M+ you’d be picking herbs in ZM…
That’s my point, Druids have had the lions share of cool stuff and perks for a very long time.
Let them be content with what they have already and let some dev money go to some of the other, neglected classes for the next 6 years or something.
…no?
“NO HUNTERS” was literally the catchphrase of Vanilla. There were too many hunters and not enough spots in a group. Lmao.
The only reason I ever got groups in vanilla is I knew how to kite the last boss of UBRS.
So a return to 1.0, with the entire Druid class almost unplayable, and the hybrid tax.
They are taking away druid options by making them spend points on abilities they cannot use for their spec to get something they need, and making them choose between spells that are currently baseline.
That’s not anything like “what they already have”.
My point is more that it shouldn’t be an either or where the only way we get cool stuff is if the Druids don’t.
Also lets be real here: The elves are ones who have gotten more than anybody else when it comes to customization lately.
I’m not saying to take anything away from Druids, I’m saying hopefully some other classes can get some of the love they have had over the last, oh I dunno, 10 years or so.
Well if we want to nitpick semantics release was 1.1.
Also remembering what my Hunter and Paladin talents were like pre-revamp: For the love of all that is holy please don’t bring those back.
Don’t make me look at a level 60 Lacerate that’s worse than a level 20 Rend.
As a fellow vanilla hunter main it was a challenge getting into groups. There was a lot of stigma but whenever I got a chance I usually surprised people. Just being able to dismiss your pet or turn off growl was something most couldn’t seem to do, let alone trap, kite, off-tank with your pet etc.
Good hunters were highly valued, it was just a matter of getting a chance to prove yourself which was the challenging part.
Why should I have to ask you to pick locks for me or buy things to unlock locks when you can do it for free?
You can, it’s called sap
Um, not really. I can’t choose whether or not to tank in bear form, or dps in cat form…
No, but it does indicate that you don’t care as much about the game as someone who has done those things.
Ok, and? Just because you have more of something doesn’t mean they are better… Do you think Priest should be hurt because it has 2 roles to play while Hunter only has one? Or maybe you think paladin should suffer because they can play 3 roles and have 3 specs while DH only has 2.
I have 2 AotC, that is 2 more than you have
You literally haven’t even stepped into arena. Don’t compare us when you haven’t even started playing.
If not for m+ I probably wouldn’t be playing.
So just because druids have been able to instant cast flight form that means we should be in an alpha state while everyone else is fully polished? Sounds like you are just jealous
Just because there was too many doesn’t mean they weren’t wanted, It just means there was too many to take
the druid dev(s) have done an amazing job with this class for a very long time. I hope they aren’t going anywhere
They already did
I highly doubt just 1 person manages balancing each class individually. I think some people forget that quite a large team handles every aspect of the game
