I mean, who’s queueing things other than AV anyway? Unless you’ve got a group to queue with, the rest are just painfully slow and a coin flip as to whether you get a competent group (gear or not).
You’re completely entitled to your opinion. I’m just saying, I disagree that players should be banned for trying to PVP – just because they don’t have nice gear.

No. No they do not. That would be heroics. My friends and I have carried a number of boosties through heroics (it’s usually 4 of us so we usually just need 1 more) because them being in boosted gear doesn’t have a chance of making us lose.
I’m not grinding rep and gear for low level bg’s

I don’t really mind boosties in AV. As long as they’re participating and trying to take/defend towers, it’s usually fine. You can really see the difference when they queue up for WSG, EotS, or AB. They can get 1-2 shot by a geared player.

i mean that’s true…but everyone who’s lvl 70 will be leveling easily, remember you can travel to northrend at lvl 68, that means that early northrend mobs are tuned to be killed by lvl 68s in lvl 67 greens…sure you might notice a difference if you’re playing next to someone in lvl 67 greens but for most players the experience will not vary much regardless of the gear they start northrend with.
His full brutal is also a detriment to his dps. That resil isn’t doing anything for you
Yeah fresh boosted characters should spend an entire weekend in just Alterac Valley. It’s the fastest way to grind honor. Once they got full brutal and a weapon Id say they can start queing up for WSG/EotS/Arathi.
its no different then base dungeons gear, i have crappy dungeon gear and get 3 shot in bgs.
I mean it is all about to reset in a week and no one will be geared. . .
To be honest, I have a hard time believing that boosties would make the mistake of queueing anything other than AV more than once. Heck, the first time I queued a 10-15 man with crap gear, I regretted it immediately.
I can understand how it stinks to have a bunch of low geared players in a 10-15 man. My beef with this whole thread is that there are folks saying that they should be banned. Banned for playing the game. I mean that’s just clown stuff to me.

I, for one, thoroughly enjoy 1 shotting boosties. The more the merrier. This was definitely the best time to get wrecking ball.
Next time you guys are farming AV, keep an eye on the top 5 horde side for the Pekker. He frequents those spots. And he’s boosted ;3

I agree it does hurt the experience, but I think you are generalizing too much. Every poorly geared player is not a boosted toon. The bar actually quite high in BGs right now that we are 4 seasons deep. Many of the players you are complaining about are legit leveled toons that can’t compete with the brtual gear and SWP - BT gear they are up against. That’s a huge gap, far beyond the damage, its the lack of HP, the lack of resilience, lack of armor that legit leveled chars are like 20% effective against the current gear.
I’ve said many times the solution is to adopt this standard:
Current Season: Arena/RBG points (no rating gates)
Previous Season: All Honor points
Previous Season before that: Sharply Discounted Honor Points
Season Before that: Buy with gold (100-300g per piece)
If this was in play you’d be able to walk into a BG with S1 gear and have a more balanced experience. You’ll still be out geared, but you’d be around 75% effective vs S4. The leveled players would be happy, the geared players would be happy. I don’t see how this isn’t implemented already.
Either I keep seeing the same boosties, or there are just a lottttttt of boosties that sign up for non-AV stuff and I see them in there lol.
Yeah, this is stupid. They shouldn’t be banned if they are actively participating in the BG. There are people who are almost in full Brutal who afk half the time – those are the ones that should be banned xD
Top 5 for what… damage? That could mean you just went and killed NPCs xD

Im a fairly fresh boostie MM Hunter. I farmed AV for my Brutal Bow. It wasnt too bad, i just preyed upon other boosties, sub-70 DKs, and below-average Mages of all ilvls.
I felt like i was still able to assist the team. Frost Trap, Snake Trap, and Flares have saved us many towers and has provided strong defense of our bridge. I snipe, apply MS, and CC healers from range during team fights. Ive Concussive Barraged groups to slow down enemy advances.
My point is we arent entirely useless, and can actually be useful. Ive seen S4 geared level 70s contribute a lot less.
