That was a bug that’s already been fixed. How about we make wither have a cast time like UA or Immolate? That is ridiculous that a casted ability gets to become an instant. Easily the dumbest change this expansion

We can’t send a class backwards design wise unless the entire game shifts back with it, we 're way past that point really and what you’re asking is a lot more than a simple damage nerf.
If anything given the current wow direction all dots in the game should be instant, even baseline immolate , UA and even sp’s VT too. There’s no real reason to keep such crippling mechanics tied to classes that already have issues with movement, especially when said spells aren’t impactful enough anymore.

Except if warlock plays the other hero tree Immolate does have a cast time???And last I checked, since they have 3 spell schools, that’s the reason it’s always been fine
Also VT has a lot of instant cast applications and moonfire is instant on any spec, no matter the hero tree, so that is a false equivalency
UA short cast is perfect imo for any dot with a backlash. I’d be fine with VT having that too. Immolate can cleave with havoc, and with the 3 spell schools and long duration, the cast time doesn’t really matter(But making it instant cast is over the top if Chaos bolt gets buffed back to respectable levels)
