So should I be playing prot warr? What comps?

Have heard from a few threads that prot warrior seems to be viable at high ratings

Curious as to what these comps are and what the win conditions are at a high level? I am assuming these are somewhat dampeners

I am assuming prot/hunter/x would be the best one given that hunters bring along an MS and firehose dam along with bolt into traps every go? What would the best healer be?

I hate that it comes down to this but I despise fury and find it incredibly boring, and arms has tons of issues which I am not going to repeat here as there are many threads on it already

Awkward to utilize BG with Hunter.

Best/easiest is usually ms melee.

What is the best ms melee and healer for that? UHDK/Disc?

I feel like it’s a tossup between Windwalker, Havoc and Unholy, yeah. Then with likely either Pres or Disc.

Prot pres unholy and prot pres survival are prob the best warrior comps

As someone who mains Prot the last 18 years. Welcome.

Prot is the most fun warrior spec. You got tons of utility, Demo shout is a 30% wall along with bodyguard 40%. Really fun damage and I’m getting juicy executes (hits harder for Prot) I’ve gotten 1.5 mil crits. Shield charge also hits for 1.4 mil

Prot roots is a unique root that has it’s own DR table and will make teams want to uninstall. Graet for peeling and rooting evokers/dh/feral.

Granted I mostly play Prot in Blitz as that is my jam.

Prot really drives feral/rogues crazy too. You got 3 stuns and enough roots. You just nullify their damage and ruin their day.

Fun interaction you can actually knock out stealth with Demo shout again. Zerker the sap and Demo gets them everytime. Was like this until Wrath the lost it in Cata. Excited Prot getting back some Wrath abilities like Imp D stance and this.

It’s a thing again been having a field day in WPvP knocking Rogues out of stealth.

Larosw has been playing some Prot I asked him just now in stream and he didn’t like it cause no MS. I guess you could get an MS window with ravanger though.
