which makes me nervous and sad at the same time.
the man made so much of Warcraft’s iconic art, that knowing he’s gone… well, it does’nt give me hope for future expansions. makes me worried how things are gonna look down the road, both literally, and figuratively.
i dunno how many of you all feel the same, i just feel weird knowing another of the good-ol gang’s gonna be gone, y’know?
also, i might be a little late on this topic, since i only just now heard he was leaving.
He was basically the last member of the band, so to speak. His art book is really cool. You should check it out.
32 years. The man deserves a change in scenery.

He established the original look of Warcraft, but he wasn’t behind the concept art anymore. At least not directly. It will probably just continue looking like it does, at least for a good, long while.
He released a video on youtube called why I left blizzard which I can’t seem to embed for some reason. TLDW: He’s like 53, has worked at blizz for over 30 years and estimates he has 25 or so years left, so he wants to spend his remaining time on earth working on his own stuff. Sound reasoning, even if it is a bit sad to be confronted by your own mortality like that.
that’s true i suppose, but jeez… still gonna miss his stuff, and the influence it’s had on the game, y’know?
