Yeah man. 2-4 hr queues for random bgs sound wonderful.
I gotta ask; walk me through the math on how you see solo random BGs being a 2-4 hr queue. I get premade queues would jump to astronomical levels (like, XPOFF levels of wait times and probably die off completely within a few months as the 2-3 actual good pre-mades completely destroy the competition pool), but a solo queue with no spec requirements and (assuming very soon to be) no faction requirements would be popping just about instantly 24/7.
Because unless the assumption is that the pop levels are so low that we are literally waiting for a 10th/15th to join one single server hosting a BG, it’s really just a 10 man line that drops in every time 10 people are queued up. And with sharding gone, you’re looking at a pretty massive pool of people to make pickup teams with.
He doesn’t even play:
That’s not the general complaint, funny how you missed that. Why don’t “communities” fight “communites” and leave non-communities play sepparate?
for the casual player like me it is a problem… i dont have enough time, energy and money to put in a community. too much circle-lerking required to be noticed amongst these communities… and absolutely no extra money for flairs or premiums on discord for the same purpose. … sad
Because segregating the player base is dumb and has always been dumb.
You don’t put energy into a community
You just be nice, perform ok, and ask to join someone elses group
That’s literally it
Do people actually think this?
Granted I haven’t played with either SAS or SoD since Dragonflight launched, but all I ever did was que and do numbers, and go where directed.
Which is exactly why cross faction queues should be a thing. Stop segregating an already dying PvP player base.
Crossfaction and then make sure premades vs each other instead of being on the same team and its a good direction to go in.
Typically I queue solo. It’s extremely boring to be in an almost full raid of community members who just absolutely destroy the pugs. It’s much more fun and challenging to have an actual back and forth fight. It seems most people in these communities who queue together do not like to queue solo as it is challenging. If the first team fight is lost, most of these members from these communities will afk out instead of fighting back.
oh next your gonna say that blue pvp geared players should only play against blue pvp geared players. A fair MMO lol
Eh solo queuing isn’t much of a challenge either. It’s epic BGs after all. Win some, lose some.
SAS is very low barrier to entry:
- No required gear
- No required specs
- No required addons
- No required VC (used for shenanigans more than anything)
We’re not a cabal of sweaty gladiators; you really just need to take general directions:
- Defend X
- Recall to base
- Etc.
It’s really quite chill.
I personally like premades, especially if it’s premade vs premade. In the end I just see it as people not utilizing the tools that Blizz gives them nor wanting to make the effort. It’s okay if you don’t want to partake in premades just as it’s okay to solo queue. I solo queue more than anyone here on the forums. If I’m in a premade, it’s usually if not always by luck.
You’re in a community regardless of whether you see it that way or not.
Holy crap your take is abysmal.
Oh sweet summer child.
The challenging part of pug v pug bgs is herding the drugged cats who quit at the first sign of difficulty towards objectives.
LIterally the only difference between pug and premade bgs.
Your insecurity is blinding us; take a lap already
Insecurity? Over what? That I want to play with people with a brain and not a bunch of knuckledraggers that can’t feed themselves?
With them but not against them, right?
wink
