I notice even the forum for Plunderstorm is gone. So, I’m guessing we’ll never see it again. Thoughts?

Maybe when we get Classic Dragonflight we will get Classic Seasons of Plunderstorm during the last half of it?

I tried it and was promptly murdered. It wasn’t my scene, but I don’t mind that it was pushed. Others seemed to enjoy it.

Hight specifically said the following in an interview:

We like the notion that there are events that are seasonal in a way that come in just like we do the seasons in WoW itself…What we’re trying to build is a repertoire of fun things for the live team…to be able to pull the arrows from the quiver and use them when we need to use them. If we get a point where we can see the players want a new event or engagement, we can fire up a Plunderstorm or we can fire up some other event. And we are planning a lot of different kinds of events like that.

Their two favorite phrases recently, “scratch that itch” and “arrows from the quiver.” Someone in corporate really got to them with the kool-aid. lol

Just not enough people doing it after the reward track ran out. That mode has no character development, so once the battle pass is done, people just move on. I don’t think they like that when they’re used to getting 18+ months out of every asset they create. Juice just not worth the squeeze compared to, say, a new mount in the shop or a onesie with particle effects.
