So one Engineer prototype requires a group (and a character death) to learn

Perhaps intended because Engineering is ha ha sometimes, but it’s an annoying requirement for the prototype to learn the Jumper Cables you have to use the prototype on someone. I’ve already helped people in trade by just falling and letting them do it

Yeah that’s a weird requirement. Because like you just said, it’s easy to cheese it by just getting someone to fall. A little too easy, kind of pointless, actually.

Eh, it’s fun immersion, imo. Just like how I loved exploding as an Alchemist when experimenting. Unnecessary and pointless… but hilarious. And also fit the theme.

Anyone remember when the highlight of a Warlock’s professional experience was pulling together a group to summon a doomguard, with the guarantee that someone in that group would die, and the demon may not be controllable afterwards (and become an existential threat to everyone around it)?

Good times.

I’m still mad the wipe protection bot doesn’t kill people this time around…
