So now we get Skyriding at 10 what is the point of ground mounts?

I honestly can’t imagine using a ground mount ever again.

While we’re at it, can we please make the Fallen Charger a flying mount?

Anyone else?

Man, just be happy that now you can post on the forums AND skyride. I mean, be grateful.

Also, yeah. Some ground mounts that I think are cool I don’t really use much anymore. Unless it’s a no flying zone, like some instances are.

pretty sure your mounts cant fly at 10, so have fun dragonrunning. your ability to fly is granted by your character level.

If you are in a zone where you have to fly when you die, and you have Dragonflight active as your means of flight, you can’t fly if you die.

It’s been a thousand years since I pvp’d, but I am going to say battlegrounds? I mean, yeah you can still use a flying mount on the ground, but there you can at least show off your ground mounts.

Also some dungeons, which is good because I have grown to loathe any dungeon that expects flying.

I mostly use my ground mount during dungeons or when I want to go from point A to B on the ground. Don’t need to fly so close.

There are some SL flying spiders, like the Famu mount.

So you have an extra button on your action bar specifically for ground mounts. And you have to decide to use it. Is it really worth it?

IIRC I had flying death mounts everywhere I died in DF and TWW. I have never had this problem. There is always GY res tho.

I’m 90% sure that was a bug which has since been fixed.

More to the game than metagaming.
I still use Pally mount in Dornogal.
BGs. Some dungeons. Whenever I feel like it.

They still have their uses but it’s a little puzzling why they are still creating them at this stage. Much less having them as the monthly reward for the trading post or even more cynically selling them in the store.

I use ground mounts for no fly zones, but that’s just me.

Diversity? Not everyone wants to tap double jump into flying and just jump around properly.

honestly, this is a mistake.
It shouldn’t be until 30 (old flight level) that you get skyriding and 20 you get steady.
Having skyriding before steady honestly doesn’t make any sense.
