So nothing new again for a seasonal event- Lunar Festival

I uh… still don’t have that achievement and I have played since BC.

I did all of the brewfest stuff though!

Viking Santa likes beer.

I still don’t have everything from prior years (specifically the dragon costumes). The last thing they added was the permanent floral crowns in 2020 (which I did get). I’m fine with lunar festival as it is, there’s plenty of other things to do in the game.

What the heck is the lunar festival?

It baffles me that some people are so trained to Blizzard’s poor way of providing content that they’re actually all “naw, that’s okay… I don’t need anything new or interesting to do.”

But not related to a holiday, what i mean it’ll be fun to have engage content each holiday season, just a different seasonal brawl or pve thing that happens every year with good replayability.

True, i know asking for something new every year could be a challenge, however other games do that and even Blizzard does but only for the store mount corresponding to the chinnese year on this case, but some minor changes on BGs or new mechanics that can be played each year, imagine picking up a fire cracker and throw it to an enemy with a blind effect or a pumkin, snowballs…etc there’s a lot of small mechanics that could be added to a BGs and PVE its even easier to create something fun.

Oh, that’s brilliant. Perfect for a Reaper. Thank you for sharing.

It’s sad but i’m just playing some OW and there’s a whole LUNAR BRAWL section :disappointed_relieved: I want Lunar BGs

This applies to a lot of things, actually.

All the hats at least should be year around. Why make the fire festival and flower crowns useable all year around but not the rest? Makes no damn sense.

World of Warcraft’s Events are getting extremely boring now with nothing new to add. Plus also the fact that it’s the Event where other events like Overwatch have done much better Skin Outfits than wow is doing now in days which is very sad coming from the devs who just puts stuff on the ingame store.

Well at least with the big topics going away, maybe they can look to other things and some day revamp holidays with replayability pvp and pve events…

HOPIUM!!

New players may find it to much grind/work finish (aka to buy everything off vender) in short window with limited time like needing 900 coin of ancestry

All so not having the love rocket yet after all these years
Last year did 44 times per day so still more to grind

So basically a big grind that could be less if they implement like new world quest to provide coins and maybe BGs brawls…etc

and about the love rocket, well that’s pure RNG, this year i’ll try 50 attempts per day, new things could be added but Blizzard doesn’t have to put a really low RNG or big grind just think from that perspective, however i understand your fear about new things with their philosophy that’s basically lets create time sinks to keep player sub

A lot of things depends on the Fun aspect and the ratio of acquisition.

This is what I meant with my original post. Holidays are technically FOMO events. They repeat every year, so they are different from things that get removed permanently. Limited-time simply creates stress.

I don’t count this as FOMO because they are not removed permanently and if you already have everything and they add something new that you can grind next year with fun content well you can do it, if you can’t because any IRL situation you can do it next year, all depends if next year they add something new it’ll be more work but all depend if it’s fun. if you’re already paying the sub and BGs, world quest, questline provides the coins or reward, you’ll continue almost your same gameplay.

And there’s variables, for example if the event last 15 days, If i were a reward Dev the amount of currency that you need for a new thing should be like 5 days of gameplay just in case the player can’t play everyday, they just need to think on different players scenarios and be more friendly with player time, the excess of currency could be used on unique usables or exp potions, food that gives an effect…etc

Just like Overwatch, you can do almost any playmode and gain progress to their skins, a lot of games just change a little bit gameplay and provide something new while you play the same modes.
