He said innovative, not rehashes from other games. Those things were not even remotely requested by players.

If you dont meet players wants, you get what this game has had the last 4 expansions, a dwindling playerbase. Blizzard cannot afford to just keep doing the same thing anymore.

They had enough sense to steal Dragon Flying from Guild Wars 2 but not enough to steal the thing that has kept that game slightly growing and its world alive just so they can make yet another trope filled trash story to finish off the story so many dont even like.

Actually…

Many people wished for Torghast to be small scale farmable content for decent gear. Many people waned that for scenarios too. And it was quite nice during visions.

Heroic talents look fun.

I feel that the world revamp will happen slowly over time still. Here’s hoping.

I still love but do not currently/actively play GW2 due to various reasons, but wow would seriously benefit from learning a thing or two about their fantastic world events and legendary system. Nevermore was a truly epic storyline & collection.

Going back through old world content that has been restored/updated for various outdoor boss fights/limited time or spawned group quests etc. would just be the best cherry on top I could imagine for wow. They are another level in gw2, really bring people together to play of all levels, and with all of the new outdoor things they’ve been doing with Dragonflight I think there’s a small chance they’ll one day do just this.

Give me improved talent trees and fun dungeons to run and I’m happy. The forums are hilarious today with the salt mine.

Blizzards entire success as a company stems from them rehashing ideas from other games and expanding it to a wider audience.

WoW in itself was the casual baby MMO of the day in comparison to all the hardcore games at the time.

Funny how that many thing that was wished for was lost in the forums yet many people wished for the Rep grind behind old school flying was in 100s of threads that no one could miss.

Also never claimed Heroic talents could not look fun.

I had hope before Blizzcon, it killed any hope within me that this game can be saved from its downward spiral the developers put it into.

No it wasn’t. Account wide rep was never lost. Earning transmog for other armor types was never lost. Wanting evergreen content that could be done solo or with a small group for open world was never lost.

Those have ALL been hot topics over the years.

True they had been. I personally pushed back on those things happening with the bit sadistic thought that it would keep that content “more alive” if fewer people were objectively done with said content.

Done in this case meaning like for a rep, having absolutely all the rewards (transmog, pet, mount, recipes) from the quartermaster.
