But a 50 gold sink for dual spec? They are 100% gonna add a WoW Token to this lol
yall cant afford 50 gold? How down bad are you?
50g seems extremely reasonable and cheaper than I would have thought. This is cheaper than the cost of your slow mount which every player can afford in my experience.
Additionally, considering the cost savings from constantly respeccing this is crazy cheap.
You should be able to make 50g from just passively playing the game and vendoring junk items for a bit at max level.
Why do people seem to think this is prohibitively expensive? 50g is perfectly reasonable considering it cost that much just to change your talents at all before. This is a permanent upgrade to your character in the same way your mount is. It’s a goal to work towards, a reason to go out into the world, explore and grind. Then when you finally get that one-time upgrade, you’ll have more flexibility to pursue bigger gold sinks.
I remember in TBC Classic, I saved up around 1500g to buy a SoNF off the AH. Took me weeks, and I started at a point when 1-500 was probably the most I had at once. But I had my mount, my profs were at max and I didn’t need to buy a lot else. I worked at it and learned how to get better at making gold as a result. And I did that while also having to occasionally respec for 50g between raid nights.
If 50g sounds too expensive, I’d say you’re not ready for DS yet. Work on smaller goals and work your way up. Decide on a spec that works for you now and don’t stress about the endgame grinds when there isn’t an endgame to play yet. It’s not as though you really need it for anything at this point anyway.
For those saying 50G is too expensive, go back to War Within now.
This is vanilla wow. Get gathering professions, farm.
everyone who wanted dual spec is too lousy to farm 50g, yes
nah, they’ll just whine and get the prices reduced that’s worked before
I highly doubt people are coming from The War Within with this attitude. TWW is a pretty great expansion, btw (much better than some cheesy amalgamation of private-server-esque hacked-together UI tools like the LFG tool, and Dual Spec, which don’t even belong in the classic level 60 version of the game).
This is absolutely not Vanilla WoW.
so no maidens
50g is childs play, I spent more than 400g grinding Darnassian rep for my tiger back in the day.
It died off massively 2 months in. Too much gating, too much dressup.
This absolutely is vanilla wow.
50g is literally the price of a respec once you hit the cap, which most people who “need” respec will hit rather quickly.
It’s actually very, very cheap at 60. It’s only expensive while leveling.
All the people whinning about dual spec completly miss this part. Some specs don’t have to respec every single time they want to switch from PvE to PvP. Others (such as warriors) have to do this EVERYTIME. So if your commonly having to swap between the two to run PvE content + farm your R14 gear then your just constantly having to throw away gold into nothingness.
Meanwhile other classes can be hybrid classes or not even have to change at all and still be fine in both sets of content.
So yeah I find the dual spec change amazing. Who wants to have to throw away 50 gold multiple times a day just to switch between PvE and PvP over and over again.
Did it?
Interesting. I wonder if it’s that a lot of people just want to play the new shiny, get the initial new content, and stop when they get KSM/Heroic Raid, which is like not very far in.
Total aside, but if you could explain about the gating and dressup (I’m just not sure what that means/is in reference to - not trying to argue it).
Vanilla WoW was what we had in 2004-2006. We could just compare the macro system and see radical enough differences to make a reasonable argument that it’s at least a different version of the game than ever existed in Vanilla.
But that’s such a small change in comparison to the vast array of changes that have been implemented on the wholey new Classic client that calling it Vanilla is like claiming some cashew-based vegan frozen snack is vanilla icecream. It’s not. You might like it better, but it’s certainly not Vanilla WoW.
50g is the final cost of one respec so 50g for infinite respec is a pretty good deal. Plus a 100% mount is 900ish gold. I can only assume this is a troll post!
what? 50g is like super reasonable.
It did.
M+ was far too gated for what was released. The game is a collection simulator, nothing more.
Thank you for your opinion, this is Vanilla wow on an enhanced client. It operates just like Nostalrius.
I’m curious what this means, that’s why I asked.
Oh.
There are far more changes to Era than just the client.
Ok.
LOL. Nostalrius and Classic Vanilla weren’t “Vanilla”. They were 1.12 client abominations of the original experience. It’s like saying you know what ice cream tastes like by eating frozen yogurt. Fact is, private server/1.12 players today couldn’t hack the Vanilla experience because it was too much of a time sink.
Bring back patch 1.6 mob density and pre-nerf stats. 2 hour SM runs where you have to CC every pull or you wipe.
Some of us remember.
