So, my old lovely dresses don't count?

I’ve had all the dresses and pant suits for years and I just realized I don’t have them available for mogging. I know had all of them, and since I never threw any away, I know I can get my hands on all of them to prove it. But all the dresses I’ve dug up on my alts so far are white items.

So, I have to deal with RNG and buy them all over again? WTH?

Well, the GM was no help. What I got back was ‘Maybe your client doesn’t know it’s the holiday yet? Delete some stuff?’

No, the problem is I got my dresses and suits in the before time, the long long ago, and apparently when mogging was added, yeah, that long ago, the dresses I had, the one’s I put in effort and fought RNG to get, weren’t carried over. Instead of converting the existing dresses to cosmetic items, Blizzard just left them as white items and added new green cosmetic items, saying basically, “Screw your past hard work. Do it all over again.”

I was hoping that maybe, maybe, I’d get one of those good GMs that you run into once or twice a decade who understand the problem, understand why the problem is a problem, and are willing to bend the rules a bit. Someone who might go, ‘Well, clearly this player has put in the effort to get the items, so I’ll just upgrade them. Problem completely solved.’ Instead, I got one who didn’t even seem to understand what I was saying. Though, granted, I’m sure they had much bigger and far, far more screwed up things on their mind yesterday than some idiot’s pixel clothes. Sorry you all had to go though that total BS, by the way, especially those of you who got the worst news.

But yeah, in the end, it’s basically, 'We messed up. We don’t care. Fix it yourself."

Ah well. I sure didn’t have any plans to grind this holiday past getting the hearthstone. But, guess it’s every alt, every day again until I can replace all my dresses and suits. Hey, maybe with all the grinding I’ll get the mount. Ha ha ha ha hah haaaa… sigh.

There are two versions of certain holiday clothes (the Valentine’s, Lunar Festival, and Winter Veil sets). The older ones are white-quality, do not bind, and are not eligible for transmog. The newer ones are green-quality, bind on pickup (or equip in the case of crafted ones), and are eligible for transmog as cosmetic items. Nobody’s older versions were transferred to the newer ones. Not mine, not yours, not anybody’s.

200 love tokens later, still no purple dress. Haven’t even started on the suits yet. This is suuuper fun since I already ground out all these things years ago.

160 tokens later, finally have all the dresses again. Now I’m starting on the suits that I already had and RNG is already kicking me in my area. So fun!
