"So much to do"

Prob just burnout but genuinely i think theres too many systems, and with all these different forms of content its difficult to stick with any of them, PvP is my main boat and i love doing it but the reward structure is so terribly done, the only ones who benefit from the mode are ppl who Q with healers and spam rounds allday or Premade groups in literally any unrated mode so I cant even truly enjoy the PvP aspect outside of guild rp events. PvE feels so lifeless, i dont use my addons to know what to do next, i feel like the content is built around speedrunning metas and classes with better group utility than other. I go in, 3 geared ppl basically diablo 3s the boss for the LFR group, we all leave, requeue for vault weekly and then rinse and repeat next week. some things are so simple that you just kill the same mobs and do the same dailies repeatedly till the content is “finished” for you(you got the cosmetics you wanted and now theres no other reason to do the content)

I dont think WoW is bad but i do think this form of content where you feel ur character is done progressing once youve geared and got some mogs is really bad. I log onto my warrior and im so in the mode to pvp, i finish a bg on a loss against a premade and i see “203honor gained” Whats even the point of sitting in a 15min queue at that point? Who is this reward system designed for? I believe the honor needed for each pvp level is like 7500, If i lost 35 times id gained exactly one level of honor with a 10-15min queue each, thats just awful design to me, nothing about that is exactly fun for most people(premades are a problem but ill agree losing 35times in a row aint likely)

Just hoping this form of content is eventually killed off and the devs bring some life to it. Which ik is asking for alot but the carrot on the string stuff is just getting old man, let me enjoy ur game without this “super-optimized time sink strategy that professionals are saying works great on ur playerbase” i remember when i first played Skyrim or Fallout, what made me fall inlove with the game was feeling small, being able to geared and then enjoy the game and its immersion, theres no GOGOGOGO mentality, alot ppl believe leveling ends at 80 but thats just not the case either. after you hit 80 ur spamming content to hit the highest ilvl, once ur at ur goal ilvl then its just kinda boring and you log in, look around, log out and go on a diff toon. I wanted to gear my enh shaman in conq gear but i cant even do that because next patch is coming soon so noone is running a premade group for crates rn, which is another reason i even said the reward structure is trash because its designed around being enjoyed the first 2weeks of a season where you actually socialize with players and more groups are formed, then the rest of the season i feel like a fiend trying to get conquest

TLDR for anyone that cares.

“I have to play the game for rewards, gimme now!!! And also addons are cheating and should be removed”

Thats was probably the furthest from the truth, i also didnt say addons were cheating, i was mentioning how even without addons i can just steamroll lfr half asleep while 3 dps basically carries the LFR group, we get our “rewards” and then rinse and repeat next week with the vault. Ik this is a “reading is hard” moment, hopefully you develop tho

Why is LFR your basis?

You ask for progression after you get geared, but you dont do it. You bring up your first step in PVE progression, the entry level content.

There is plenty of PVE progression after being geared.

Like reputation where you kill the same mobs repeatedly and do the same dailies till you move on to the next rep?

No. Like higher end raiding and m+. A ton of people progress in m+ passed where rewards are even a thing.

Even delves can be that for some people.

Like IO score, that becomes irrelevant after the season ends?

What progress are you looking for?

Why limit yourself to content that you queue for? Its designed to be a breeze, just a way to see the content and get a minor participation award. There’s plenty of content that feels challenging and rewarding if you want that.

I don’t pvp so can’t speak to any of that.

Just better rewards and something where you cant cap on rewards in a specific form of content pretty quick. Like i pvp on my warrior and lock but it takes maybe a week and im just out of content or if i gear a new pvp toon(enh shaman) too late then you cant find premade crate farming groups, or honor farming is only efficient in premades and compstomp. I like the idea of wasting my time in something but i feel bad when something is designed to waste my time in an unrewarding way
its probably because the entire game is designed around a seasonal model. which really is a coinflip opinion in this playerbase, some will die on the hill of seasonal content and repetitive reps/questing. i just want these things to have more meaning/immersion and better reward structures so people cant just finish em fast, My ideal mmo is one you cant beat after a week in a season. i really hate even saying season in a mmo lmao

I dont know what this means though, since you specifically do not want gear rewards in this scenario.

You asked for progress after you have gotten geared. I have pointed out there are ways to challenge yourself and progress after you have gotten geared, and you dismissed it.

Thats been WoW since day 1.

You cant do that in WoW. Congrats.

You arent beating the hardest raiding, m+ after a single week.

we said the same thing, congrats

this is actually not true, its another reason vanilla/sod has captured a very different audience than retail

You pointed out that after you are geared you just go for artificial numbers in high end raiding at mythic plus, which btw you get finished gearing through those, So ur answer to “end game after gearing” is literally just “do the same stuff that got you geared and settle for no rewards after” That doesnt make any sense to me lol

“i like doing stuff and not being rewarded for it anymore” What an incredibly hard take to defend lol

You said this.

I asked, specifically, what sorta progress do you want after you are geared? What rewards do you want? Since just challenging yourself and trying to do something hard is apparently out of the question.

I am rewarded. And I enjoy it. There are titles, mounts, personal satisfaction.

I am sincerely asking, what rewards would be appropriate?

You seem to want to just do something extremely simple/trivial for your rewards, and then complain there is nothing to do.

You claim you beat WoW in a single weak of the season, but avoid nearly all content.

What is the reward that you’d like past gear? Or do you want infinite gear scaling? Its hard to understand what your issue is, it sounds like you just don’t enjoy the game.

Well being gearcapped means you have did the hard content lol My ask is for far greater and more rewards, both currency and items.

is gear the only form of content you chase?

not sure how many times ive answered this for you tbh

You do not get gear capped in a week.

Because you do not do the content to get gear capped.

You specifically asked for progression after you get your gear. Gear is not infinite in power. It has never been.

Your answer does not make sense within the context of your statements.

“I want progression after I get geared”

“ok what?”

“MORE GEAR!!!”

It contradicts itself.

What other form of content do you chase? Because “more gear” is apparently the only content you want.

Zero, you’ve answered it zero times.

Love how nobody responds about this guys actually valid claims with PvP. Dont want to que? Well you cant even raid towns by yourself hardly, theres practically 0 world pvp except in endgame content (to which there is little of). And then, to top it all off, que time is ridiculous for abysmal rewards. Even if you win, unless you just slapped the opponent, you barely get better rewards than all the losers

I dont pvp. But he also talked a bunch about PVE. So that is what I am focusing on.

I am also not sure you can absolutely beat all of PVP in 1 week.

Ya they skimmed over that most my takes were based around pvp, which im sure the pve reward system isnt as bad but from what ive seen its not anything worth dedicating time to like rep farms and other meaningless carrot on a stick mechanics

in a sense, you get timegated on pvp, so you gearcap every week till conq is unlimited. and once its unlimited the LFG premades for crates is basically nonexistant except for primetime
it takes maybe 4hrs of gametime for me to hit 1800 and get the elite mog for pvp and then theres not much rewards after that besides rerolling a new toon and getting 1800 on that if i genuinely feel like it
the conq is the only real grind and even then i can spend maybe 8hrs in a crate farming group and that toon is now capped for the rest of the season
