So much hate for Dragonflight

Even within seconds of the opening, players had criticisms of the announced DF expac. Have they traveled into the future? If they really want to find out, then they should go to the link below and click on “Beta Opt-in”:

People are reluctant to jump on the hype train after being burned twice after legion.

That doesn’t necessitate you being a jackhole.

It just goes to show how old wow is and its fans, there so many desires and visions of different directions for the game.

Don’t allow others opinion to affect your hype

Having criticism isn’t hate. Let’s be clear, it’s feedback on potentially harmful designs. There is a lot to like there and I’ll give them that. But things like taking a hard “There will not be flight aside from the dragonflight minigame” stance are just not OK and I will criticize them for that. But I am happy to see the return of talent trees and plausibly better professions.

Call me an optimist but I’m pretty excited about the new expansion. Everything looks fun and the dragons are cool.

I’m beginning to think that some people just hate Blizzard and that nothing will please this crowd.

The expansion had my interest right when they said Warlords PvP gearing is coming back.

Unfortunately it’s also kind of late and other games have kind of drawn my attention for PvP. Lost Ark’s PvP is solid and, amazingly, FF14’s PvP revamp is really fun, like a lot of fun lol.

Imagine being a “Vanilla Vet” and logging into this forum to cry over a video game. Even if you were 7 years old in Vanilla , that puts you at 25 years old. More than likely over 30

WAY beyond crying over a video game age.

It’s my game and I’ll cry if I want to.

Well, it feels that way, but I don’t know if we know exactly what percentage of the playerbase is present on the forums. More than likely it draws a lot more of the type of person who is more prone to being angry over little stuff alongside people who just like being social.

The “always angry” crowd reminds me of when my kids were toddlers and they were cranky and I’m trying to offer them things to appease them and everything I hold out is met with an angry head shake and a displeased whine.

“Are you guys enjoying the SL story?”
NO! Sylvanas is dumb! I want dragons.

“Well, here are dragons! Including a mount you can design yourself and ride!”
NO! Not like that.

“How would you like to actually play dragons?”
NO! They need to be super buff, and be all the classes I personally play. :triumph:

“Oh, well… how about you tell me what you want?”
NO! You’re supposed to just know. :sob:

I’m angry that I don’t fit into any of those examples. :rage:

I did beta opt in

However, I’m not some famous streamer so I won’t get in

That being said, with the recent announcements on mythic+ why wouldn’t you hate dragonflight? It’s not only a game I don’t want to play, it’s a game that’s being developed from day 1 to alienate players like me

I am just not interested in only 8 dungeons again. I’m not interested in only 4 of those being new experiences and 4 of them being recycled.

Sorry!

Ahem…

“Well, what can I do to make you happy?”
Literally nothing! Game sucks and you should feel bad. And the ducks are ugly.

I don’t stream and I’ve been in every Beta since WoD so not true at all.

No matter what they did people would complain. Its the forums its what we do.

That being said. lots of it looks promising (although I will never underestimate Blizzards ability to miss free easy home runs) the only major red flag for me is the fact we are only getting 4 dungeons we havnt seen before as m+ for the first 9 months or so.

Because Blizzard really needed a win here, something to show they changed and are trying to truly revitalize the game. But what we got was the same thing as ever. Some obtuse retconned continent with a raised level cap and some enemies to use as cannon fodder for a year after release. A new system that dramatically changes an older system that wasn’t warranted (flying normally). I’ll admit the new race and class looks neat, but seriously, after AR’s became a thing it’s not THAT exciting, especially seeing as they can only be one class.

I mean more so the lore behind it. Dragon Isles was never this “Enveiled in the ancient mists with half giant ancient enemies and dragon humanoid race” before. It was just a chill place dragons went to. Just like how Shadowlands was never this “Omg, the Jailer and covenants and Arbiter” nonsense, it was more so this dank veil of death and hollowness with mysteries abound. Fairy land was never hinted at etc.

Sounds like Dragon Isles was dramatically changed from earlier interpretations to fit the new expansion theme, warranting it to suddenly be this huuuuuge continent with a bunch of crap that was never established before.

Peole will complain on anything and everything so stop caring about their opinions. They live to whine about something. If they havent made someone sad cause of their whining their day isnt complete
