it is, for anyone thinking rationally. idk why anyone would run a pet as marks anyway. when I need a pet I swap to bm.
I was thinking more Mordecai from Borderlands 2
It’s in the name - Marksmanship, not Petmanship.
Tbh I am struggling to find a single build that doesn’t use lone wolf, even for delves.
+5% flat damage, and you have cc’s and such you can use that don’t result in less damage.
Every spec needs a glyph rework. Unfortunately since this is going to be new. They’ll want everyone to experience the eagle for the rest of the xpac most likely then in 12.0 we might see some changes to glyphs. At least for the eagle (if not different talents altogether).
MM is actually easier than BM. And the rotation is more engaging and pressing buttons feels better. MM is completely mobile except for one ability. It’s a bursty spec and do all of it’s burst on the go.
This isn’t Cata anymore. BM isn’t anymore faceroll than most specs.
On the topic of MM.
RIP Sniper Shot.
Simple solution for not keeping your pet is to have LW retain the abilities of the last pet you summon.
Call your wolf it’s bar appears, and then dismiss them; however, their bar still stays with all their abilities that are still usable.
This is amazing. I’ve wanted to play a hunter with no reason to have a pet out for so long ha.
Kinda funny considering you get a talent called Headshot.
Both surprised (that they did anything) and disappointed (by what they did) on those DH changes.
Guess we’re waiting for 11.2
I love my pets, but I def will need to roll another hunter and give the new MM a try. I like this rework.
It’s more so people use what gives them more damage.
They failed to balance the pet and even reward you for not using one via lone wolf.
I’ve haven’t really played mm much because I don’t like how it functions. But I’m with you with changes. I was an old surv hunter prior to legion. They fully deleted my spec for the new melee on. Been bm since.
At least I have 2 pets I want out now.
The Delve specific build. (At the bottom.) I did just check Icy-Veins and for some reason they’re lumping the M+ with the Delve build, though to be frank this seems like laziness on their part. It’s generalized AoE.
I DO NOT.
I’ve played with the same wolf pet since 2005, through all the awful Lone Wolf years.
Now they’ve finally destroyed my play style of NINETEEN YEARS.
I am not happy. I’m NOT HAPPY.
I have to say that I’m extremely disappointed.
Every Hunter character I have, I have specific pets for them. This includes my MM Hunters. So to completely remove pets as an option from my MM Hunters leaves a very sour taste in my mouth.
I really hope this will be reconsidered, since a lot of MM Hunters do have strong feelings about their pets and won’t be happy about having them removed with a random eagle pet. I know I’m not happy about my MM Hunters losing their pets.
Come to the dark side. Added bonus, your wolf gets a friend
Remember when ppl wanted to go petless as MM when they couldn’t?
Blizzard added LW.
Now they’re completely forcing MM to go petless.
So you lose the flat 5% damage buff for +8% damage during volley. But more survivability.
They more so focus on damage > all. (Which tends to be my weakness lol)
About time. They’ve been tiptoeing it with talents like Lone Wolf and I’m happy it’s finally official, and we’re getting utility to make up for it.
If I wanted to play with pets I’d go BM or Survival. MM always felt like the long range solo marksman sniping folks from a distance, and now it’s official.
All the other changes seem good too. Excited to give it a shot. Literally and figuratively.
I am curious as to what this “Exists out of the game space” stuff is all about?
I am guessing that it might be like a battle pet that has 0 interaction with the fight but now gives passive buffs to the Marksman by existing?
