Please learn to heal all tanks, we don’t all have godmode mitigation.
Them not knowing how to heal you, isn’t the same as not knowing how to heal prot paladin.
Tank damage taken variance is like 500%.
Both should be very self sufficient. I don’t see much difference healing them, in that they really don’t need much attention.
I find it a rotational issue above all else. It’s very noticeable as a healer to which tank needs healing and which tank actually NEEDS healing.
A good prot is chill maintenance.
Yea, that demon hunter was made of paper.
im sorry man, but i think thats a you thing, not a healer thing. yes, all tanks require a slightly different kind/amount of attention. BUT, if youre blaming your healer for you falling over as a prot pally, thats on you. Ive healed plenty of prot pallies that feel like theyre wearing cloth, and plenty that seem to take absolutely 0 damage. the difference in attention to pally vs vdh is completely skill based. if you are NEEDING tons of healing from the healer, you are the one making the mistake. and tbh, there really isnt a specific way a prot pally needs to be healed that differs from a vdh. the only tank that actually requires different attention is BDK. they typically dont need heals, BUT the healer has to watch their runic power to know WHEN they will need heals or an external.
There are too many paper tank, may be you are one of them. Some tank just don know how to tank effectively, don know when to use CD, don know how to place the mobs correctly so that to avoid avoidable damage etc etc. Healer main job is not to heal tank, but heal the unavoidable damage!!! Too many avoidable damage can be avoided by tank if tank use correct CD at correct time. Dude tank just waste CD at wrong time. Dude tank pull and die very fast. If you always die in M+, it is your problem, not healer problem. A good healer never keep healing tank esp in M+, but will help dps so that to time the key. Most good healer just passive heal the tank, only in some moment, they will actively heal the tank.
