I thought I’d be cool and play a Shadow Priest in Classic again yeah! Surely won’t be too many Priests around!
Sweet. Green. Jesus.
I can’t walk 3 feet without tripping over another Priest lol. I know there’s less classes available and less class/race combos too and that’s fine and to an extent I obviously expect to see my own class in an MMO obviously.
But this…this over saturation…oof…nothing turns me off faster than feeling FOTM haha.
Is anyone else seeing this deluge of Priests or is it just my server or just Alliance?

Really? All im seeing are Warlocks, Mages and Warriors. Especially the Mages, everyone wants to AOE grind.
Surprisingly enough, I havent seen many rogues or druids.

Most rogues I see seem to be mostly Horde. For some reason Alliance on Fairbanks seems to be anti-melee in general honestly.
Hell, I don’t even see that many Hunters really which is also shocking.

There’s just a LOT of people on every server. I have been maining a lock and was thinking the same thing as you… “gosh there are a lot of warlocks”. After doing a bunch of who searches at various level ranges to get the results below the 50 threshold, I realized that class distribution is fairly even. The only thing that really stood out was warriors. Sooooo many warriors.

IM A HEALING PRIEST. seems like you should rely on ur ability to outshine rest if you think they are fotm
I see mostly Warriors and Mages personally. Priests quite a few but not a plague or anything.

When I was a kid, my dad bought this turquoise Hyundai hatchback. I couldn’t remember ever seeing this car on the road before. But since he brought that car home, each passing day I noticed that those cars were everywhere. It seemed so strange.
This is probably what you’re experiencing. You never notice how many of something there are until you have a reason to pay special attention to it.

Druids, mages and locks are very popular here from what ive seen
The most used raid composition is going to be -
5 Protection Warriors
14 Holy Priests
1 Restoration Druid
20 Frost Mages
Asmon brought 17 Mages for his MC run today.
Be nice if one of these many priests would fort my owl instead of me.
No pally healers? Extremely weird and impossible to be the meta.
Really? 17 mages. Wonder if thats to do with them being so quick to level or if it really is going only be warriors mages and priests endgame…
Yesterday we run a Dungeon, 3 of five were priest. (Horde)
Don’t forget rogues. The rest are support classes.
I play druid healer so i can be unique.

For us on the RP server it’s the opposite for one glaring reason. NO pvp. So all we have are shamans and druids. Oh and 5 year olds in general and trade chat 24/7.
I’m giving myself one more day to decide if I should re roll again to an adult server. Then I wake up and remind myself there isn’t one. It’s 2019.

I noticed this as well. Very much the opposite of classic where priests were relatively rare.
I’m playing mostly on the RP server and Earthfury (very low pop at first, but its been growing and the start zones have started filling up…with a high number of priests too). I have a character on each of Grob, Deviate, Pagle, and Faerlina that I haven’t played much, but I noticed the same thing there. Maybe its a layer thing but I’m noticing priests are one of the highest played classes when I do /who.
From what I have seen from people posting census results from my server, priests are the 4th most played classes behind warriors, mages and rogues. I am surprised there are not more warriors and rogues. Also Shamans and Paladin has are going to be in really high demand.
