To many people here who’s from retail most likely do not understand wtf threat is. I mean there are people who assume warriors can just spam thunderclap in defensive stance like it’s usable in that stance. lololol.
But nah i’m talkin about all you stupid ignorant mages and what not that want to blow up dps and AOE their Mana pools to Oblivion the sec a tank pulls a group and if it’s a warrior, maybe 1 demo shout and 2 AA’s hit first… then AOE EVERYTHING AGRO!!!.
It’s pretty obvious who played and remembered vanilla and who didn’t/doesnt.
Edit: Obvious who Played WoW Before Threat was turned into one of the easiest things in the world to do and tanks didnt even have to try or do work anymore for threat.

I’m a mage and I’m not ignorant about threat. I will lay off the frostbolts if the tank is struggling and switch to my wand. I could care less about DPS meters. I’m there to support, remove curses, and control the crowd to the best of my ability.

28 mage in my SFK Run. 5 Curses on Everyone. Not one curse ever removed. i was so mad.

Not gonna lie, been a bit rough healing the earlier dundeons. Not because it’s hard, but because people pull extra mobs, don’t separate the raptors, hunters that pull before I have mana.
Bit of a headache. I imagine that most of the trigger fingered and wrath happy will get bored and start falling off. Healers are already becoming more and more difficult to come by.

Last night we were in SFK and got swamped by a bad pull. There were so many curses getting tossed around I just quit dps’ing to keep them all off.
There is no excuse for not understanding that removing curses is one of the mages priorities.

Not gonna lie, I’m not looking forward to that. Whatever though, I’m pretty sure I have my frames set up to show them and a mouseover macro when I hit 18-20.
there is the room down the first spiral staircase after killing Odo and it is bugged at times. It can pull the entire room… due to the room havin some weird issue with mobs seeing you went they shouldnt.

Had a fellow shammy in a dungeon not use a weapon enchant, and when they did it was rockbiter. The single most aggro producing one. <_<;;
I generally wait to see at least one or two sunder procs go up before I start going ham on a mob, and most warriors I’ve met have been good with that, but you can tell when you get ones new to it where they’ll just go willy nilly with pulls.
Aggro is everyone’s concern and must be managed for clean runs.
See, all these people know wtf i’m talkin bout!!!
And Dont get me STARTED on no one Focus Targeting mobs down.

well pretty much you’ve got it. But the thing is no one focus targets so while you’re stacking those 5 stacks on the mob, you got everyone blowing up dps on everything else you’re not focusing D:
Healers are already becoming more and more difficult to come by.
This was true even back in 2005. Not only was there no ‘healer balance’ (Priests were just better), but most of the tricks healers used to prevent running bone-dry on mana simply aren’t available until later in the game. Combine that with the reality that healing specs are, by and large, untenable for solo questing and healers can get pretty hard to find in the mid-levels.

had a priest healer last dungeon i did, lvl 24 i think, i dont remember seeing him ever drop to half mana.
Speaking to this topic… is there a good threat meter out atm?

what if it was their first time raiding in vanilla? you’ll probably get better results if you ask for what you want.
