Currently, both hero talent trees have dead talents for me. Not ‘this talent is so weak, it’s dead’ but actual dead talents that buff abilities I don’t have or use.
Note: This only applies to PVP. No clue if any of these are useful in PVE.
- Conduit has 1 dead talent, Heart of the Jade Serpent. We don’t use Sheilun’s Gift because it costs at least 2 talent points and not worth the healing. That talent is just perma red to me.
Master of Harmony is much worse, so many completely unused talents.

Balanced Strategen - Dead talent to caster MWs. We don’t use physical damage to keep it stacked.

Manifestation - Buffs a talent not everyone takes.

Overwhelming Force - Strictly a fistweaver talent, completely worthless to caster MW. Add CJL to it in 11.0.5 so we can at least make use of it.

Choice node in the middle with TWO dead talents. One buffs melee abilities and other buffs Chi Burst which we don’t use.

It’s not useless because you get the x2 effect from Celestial Conduit. It’s fine how it is.
But if that talent worked we’d get 2X effect from conduit AND 1X effect from it.
Also I think it’s 3X effectiveness, it buffs it by 200% so that’s 3X more.
A few people posted repeatedly in beta about there not being alternatives to the melee-centric hero talents, but they never did anything about it.
I posted multiple times about there being zero hero talent interaction with SooM but multiple RSK talents.
11.0.5 seemed promising at first since CJL was finally getting attention after all this time, but they swiftly reverted the baseline buff and I don’t think they’ve lowered any 2 pointers to 1 pointers to make picking up more talents easier.
Not sure if they just didn’t have time to do more or if they are afraid to buff caster elements of MW because the FWer streamers complain if you even acknowledge non-melee elements of the spec exist.
