So many crybabies freaking out over the one time use 58 boost and the stupid drums adjustment.
The icing on the cake being the amount of hypocrites who will buy and use these things anyway even after complaining about them.
Here’s the deal the way I see it, yall had no changes classic, then you cried and begged for #somechanges, now you’re crying because blizzard is doing too much change on one hand and not enough on the other…
What’s your big fear about the 58 boost? Do you feel robbed because “I had to level muh character the hard way!”?
Get over yourself… I have 6 60s and I’m working on my 7th (51 WL as of this post), it doesn’t affect TBC at all, and if you’re worried about it ruining classic content, well guess what, you don’t have to transfer your character to a TBC server… just play on a classic vanilla server where boosting won’t be a thing…
My God, the oldest running tradition in WoW is having players who complain about WoW…
Just be thankful for once… atleast now you don’t have to play some bookleg private server to relive the nostalgia you once had… and it’s not like blizzard is charging you anything extra to do it either… if you want extra, you pay for it, if not, you can play the same game everyone else does for only the subscription fee…
If you’re gonna complain about something, atleast make it about something reasonable, like all the streamers who got the beta but only did bug reports for a day… or the douchebags who never play it to bug test but only to gank/camp/streamsnipe… or how gold advertisers somehow made it into beta but not long time players…
Honestly so many of you just sound pathetic… like you’re honestly just complaining to complain… searching for a reason to quit… but at the end of the day, you never do, because it’s a good game, and you know it too.
Not trying to shill for blizzard, but holy crap it’s so annoying seeing all of these Q.Q posts.
I am not going to debate against your points because many of them are valid but I did want to make this small caveat.
If everyone adhered to this advice then we would not have a World of Warcraft Classic launch to begin with… or the TBC Classic that is on its way.
Players complained, then found their own way private server, another game, either way Blizzard acknowledged the desire and lost income and opted to make a play for some of it.
This is a very fair counterpoint… I just find it so tiresome seeing all of the hypocrisy and whining coming with this announcement… it’s like everyone’s trying to sound like some WoW meta guru or intellectual but in reality their complaints have very little substance…
I’ve only seen a handful of complaints about the boost for example, that have a moderately decent concern tied to them… for the most part though it’s just been “I earned it, no free rides!” But they know full well they are gonna scrape up the 10/15/30$ or whatever it costs to get one themselves…
I know right, let’s make sure no one can complain about anything at all ! People aren’t allowed to express their opinion if I disagree with it ! How about they just add a level 70 boost with full t6 so no one can complain at all ?
That’s exactly what I’m saying… if they gonna do it they might as well do it big. Boosts didn’t come until mysts of pandaria that is going to be such a HUUUUUGE effect on classic servers, that personally… I don’t want any part of.
No you are wrong ! Clearly it won’t affect the game at all, not even a tiny bit ! Stop gatekeeping ! Why should someone with more time to play the game be ahead of me ? It should be an even playing field. That is why I need to pay money to skip the game.
i dont even think the boost/cash shop/mount is the best argument for fresh, but rather the fact the new races will be so far behind all the super rich and established players, particularly if they are new to the game or returning after many years. we should get fresh options and people making draenei and blood elves, should be encouraged to play on fresh.
A level 70 boost with t6 is not the same as a level 58 boost with sub optimal gear.
Boosted characters will be a blip on the map and if anything, do more good than harm. More players will be available for endgame content, more players will be likely to get back into the game and give it a chance that didn’t enjoy the grind that is/was classic, and more players will subsequently level alts etc as they now have a main to fund them/assist them along the way.
The only legitimate downside to the 58 boost as far as I’m concerned is the increased competition @ the dark portal and first zones of the outlands.
That could be solved by putting a delay on the boost.
The most compelling argument against the boost that I’ve seen is that it will enable goldfarmers/RMT people to do what they do faster, but that could be solved by only allowing accounts grandfathered into the system to have a boost available… or if yall wanted to be hyper strict about it, run it like they did Deathknights in WOTLK, gotta have a character over set level to use the boost…
But even with all of that I feel like I need to play some mental gymnastics and throw on my dystopia goggles to see how exactly this boost is going to ruin the game so much that so many people are saying they will refuse to play.
