So many ads on twitch

Thank god for my ad blocker.

Yeah it’s really bad, recently got a new phone and forgot to download a blocker (was in a hurry to test-drive it)

Fired up LiquidMax’s stream on twitch and went thru a 7 (seven)-ad “commercial break” :flushed:

Swapped over to Gingi’s stream and it wasn’t much better, a whopping 4 ads in a single stream break

These big streaming platforms really milking the crap out of ad revenue, even Youtube has a bunch of ads

Ok?ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ

I refuse to support the streams. Found a good adblocker to stop them all. Screw twitch.

Thank god I bought wet wipes.

Why watch someone play a game when you could just play it?

I play while I listen to SoulsoBreezy when he streams. But I have a Prime Sub, so I pay nothing and my ads are nonexistent.

If only adds weren’t so god damn intrusive the add blockers wouldn’t be needed.

I finally decided to reinstall an adblocker for this reason. I don’t mind ads really, i understand people gotta make money somehow but they’re getting so out of control that its starting to feel like i’m watching ads with content in between. Something as simple as reading a news article has become a battle to figure out whats the actual story and whats an ad. I remember a few months back i saw a yters vid that actually told me how many ad breaks i’d get. it was a 28 or so min vid with 12 FREAKIN AD BREAKS.

Its insane today so now no ads. I am done support that crap platform.

I can’t browse web sites without an adblocker. They are never for things I am interested or would buy. Here is an ad for an suv. It costs 70k+ Yeah no I am not your target audience. Plus it is an suv. What? you want this ad for this medicine that gives you worse side effects than the thing it is supposed to treat? No thanks.

We see you are using an adblocker. Disable it to see our website. Whatever, I just lost any interest in whatever the article was about.

There are ways around that if you can read HTML

I used to tolerate them since it paid the guy I would be watching and it had a skip option , but then its got worse with no skippable ads and I have to watch 2 and I was like that’s it gonna get me an adblocker.

The best way to not support them is to not watch. Back in my day streamers posted on the forums and had things of value to say.

There are so many ads on twitch it’s like watching basic tv. I also refuse to do that. Too many ads for garbage.

One reason I don’t watch twitch if there is an event for like wow mounts and such in have it on a tab mute it and pretend is not even there.

YT is fine i pay a monthly sub since I watch a lot of video on TY and also use YT music so is worth it.

Not to mention native advertising… There are laws that forces companies to warn about sponsored content. Yet still there pops up articles that’s clearly just an advert for something without any disclaimer.
