So long, and thanks for all the fish

No one cares. Bye.

You keep saying people want to take things slow and soak everything but this is a gross generalization. Not everybody wants this. You want the game to be in a way that you prefer, which hinders others from getting what they want.

Pretty selfish view if you ask me.

This. Its just a dungeon coming out a bit earlier lmao. Also majority of players never experienced WoW without DM before, so it literally affects almost no one.

Dire Maul isn’t being rushed out.

The Honor System and the world bosses are being delayed.

Yeah, that’s the vibe I’m getting too. He probably hit level 40 and thought “Oh wow, I’m not having fun. I guess I’ll make a thread to announce I’m quitting and blame it on Blizzard.”

He thought he did, but he didn’t.

If you thought devs were going to let Classic exist for full 2 years like they did with Vanilla, then you were deluded my friend.

They know Classic isnt there to stay forever and people will quit for being tired from nostalgia. People always move on to new games because thats how video games are. And i have called that TBC is gonna come out next year around August and WOTLK so forth a year after, which i am sure thats what they are doing.

Also Classic is a test to see what players are seeking for for their new expansion. It was given that Classic wasnt a primary agenda to make it an actual 2 year basis.

You know Dire Maul released 15 weeks after launch in the US right?

Personally I don’t care that they are moving it up… but I worry about the precedent. A lot of thought and planning went into the 6 phase release schedule… it was diverted from for what reason?

So a small percentage of players have something to do? Or maybe something related to subscription renewal…

Whatever the reason… there is no compelling argument for introducing the gear and gold of this content before the originally planned and released schedule.

When this happens you can almost certainly bank on it being driven by something other than the health of the game.

And if they are willing to do it now… what lies in store for other unplanned changes to the timeline?

Isn’t this your 2nd I quit post? If not later gator. If so then you’ll be back.

I agree with you honestly - but I also think it’s not the end of the world at this point. We’ve just started. If this is a one time thing, alright. If this becomes a repeat thing - then we’ll know.

Right now I can see the benefit from a developer perspective to bring the EU and US servers onto the same progression schedule before they bring out phase 2. It makes sense and probably has more to do with programming stuff behind the scenes is my guess, but it’s really only a guess.

I am hopefully optimistic about how things will turn out. I might be wrong but I’d rather not be lol.

You’re wrong. Just because YOU struggle with reading doesn’t mean other people have your same hangups.

Nice post, I agree with you 100%. I’ve quit about 2 weeks now. The reason retail is what it is today is those hardcore raiders. They knock out content and demand more or else they disable their accounts until new content is out. The pressure is put on blizzard to release new content and the rest of us with lives are left behind.

Enjoy classic for the nostalgia it is. In the end, it will be a dead game and something of the past. I got bored quickly and felt there was nothing to do but get ganked on a pvp server. On a PVE server had I been smart, I would enjoy the content until 60, did all the dungeons and called it a game. I know retail is not classic but it’s enjoyable if you ask me. Thus far, I’ve been patient and having fun with retail.

Give them an inch and they will want a mile. This community will never be satisfied with anything.

Cause they are “rushing out” Dire Maul? I had to stop read the text wall there…

…another person who forgot Dire Maul was initially going to be released at launch but Blizz broke up the phases a bit more. You should be thanking them for that rather than being misinformed and mad.

So, don’t run DM? Problem solved

Did no one read his post?

It was about Blizzard not going by their release schedule. And how they can’t be trusted to go by it in the future. So better to get out now.

Not about DM.

You should learn what a wall of text is, newfriend. :slightly_smiling_face:

Apparently at least 51 people read it, and liked it.
