So let me get this straight

So, returning players must confront full 450 players in BGs, just to win a little of honour to buy 1 piece every 3 BGs (because right now Horde has been getting stompped due mercenarie system) and THEN farm the even harder Conquest set ?

Sorry but is there a PVP catch up im missing right now ? Because is 0 fun to be oneshoted on BG against 600k players

Isn’t there some crafted set?

Also u can buy world pvp gear

Unless they changed something huge, I always thought epic BGs were superior to late patch catch-up due to low ilvl characters being able to do vehicles and such.

But yeah, it’s tough. Unless they ever go back to templates (that people hated) this is how it is.

Yes, from the past season

There’s crafted gear from this season, there’s now 2 green sets. There is also the crafting reagent you get from your pvp boxes (I think that’s the source) to turn non-pvp crafted spark gear into pvp crafted spark gear.

I feel like that’s just always how it has been, geared players, twinks etc, everyone just wants to get to the point where they’re the ones doing the smashing lol

There is no real legit catch up system.
There is an alt system for the 450 geared player to get boxes for alts.

Ion says “Quite frankly that’s a skill issue.”

They are, but you have to know that. And the epics are a lot more complex than regular BGs.

Yeah, the OP is just exaggerating/being dramatic tbh

You can get a full set of “basic” blue honor gear (scales up to 437 inside BGs) in like two nights of casual tagging-along/getting carried in epic BGs

If you’re going straight into 10-15 man BGs as a fresh 70, you’re doing it wrong - you’re gonna be one-shotted/destroyed and be useless to your team in a 10 man BG setting

At least in epic BGs you can “blend into” your team’s deathball (safety in numbers), and also as mentioned you can still contribute to the team by driving a vehicle or getting in a turret

The obsidian gear is the boe green set for this season.

If honor level gear was the max ilvl for regular (not talking about rated pvp) bgs & epics I think that would make the game substantially more new player & alt friendly. I don’t do rated pvp & enjoy playing multiple alts; it’s a slow af grind to get on a level playing field in the gear department. Not everyone has the time, skill or desire to do rated pvp.

DF is a helluva lot better than SL tho; the enchant costs in DF are a bit much imho.

Let me get this gay… How is that different from any time you miss a season start?

the entitlement in this post, wow.

so someone who put in the time for their gear to have a competitive advantage in PvP should have that work diluted down by subsidized players on welfare gear?

you must not understand how risk/reward works.

I don’t see it as risk and reward so much as paying your dues

because if OP wants to climb the ladder, they must RISK losing to be REWARDED with wins and better gear???

hello??? everyone has to put the time into the grind??? hello???

Isn’t that true all the time for everyone

Put the time in, stop asking for welfare gear. Stop diluting other peoples hard work.

I’m a filthy casual and I don’t even ask for handout gear…but I also understand that those who have the best gear… WORKED - FOR - IT.

Between seasons I pretty much give up and wait until the next season. Conquest farming from scratch is a miserable experience

It is for every season. I liked it back when we had PvP vendors with first season of the epxac giving low level blue PvP with everything else being epics for PvP. Retail sucks now 100%, and Classic is so much better, Blizzard knows everyone thinks that so they have gone out of their way to ruin and butcher Classic as much as possible to force players out of crappy Classic and back into the even worse, very terrible retail.
