So Legion devs hurt BFA+ Druids

Remember when Legion’s class mount was supposed to be a “mount”?

and then it wasnt a mount, just a re-skin toggle at a NPC?

Now, with mount Equipment being added, It gains no benefit.

while other classes can ride their fancy mounts an entire xpac and get benefit of said mount gear…druids cant even SEE their flight form in current content until flight is added(aka at least 1/2 of an xpacs life) and doesnt get benefit of the mount gear when they can use the flight form.

so all classes were given a class “mount”, but then devs stated 2 days ago they(druids travel form which is tied to flight form) arent considered mounts.

Please explain how this is fair??

I truly, honestly, positively, don’t care about the Druid class mount not being an actual mount anymore. It’s really not a big deal

Thing is, it shows how little Blizz cares for the druid class really. We never used to be able to be knocked out of flight form either - but now in warmode, you can be… and because druids can’t use mount equipment with our flight forms, it means we can’t gain the parachute.

Our class perks are being rendered useless expac by expac… yet other classes keep their perks and they remain useful. I mean I don’t see DKs and Paladins losing their mount perks yet they can also benefit from the mount equipment as well.

I could be wrong, but your class mount is a new flight form.
None of the mount equipment pieces are even useful with flight. Water walking is pointless, why slow fall when you can fly. Only one I can kindof see being useful is daze.

It’s a flight form skin… one that we can’t use in BGs, dungeons, raids or any area that is flight locked… in other words, we’ve not been able to use our class ‘mount’ in any current content because you can’t use it in areas where flight is disallowed… unlike every other class mount.

Not only that, druids are now able to be knocked out of flight form in mid air… this is never applied to druids before as flight form was not a mount… yet now we can be, and are unable to use the mount equipment that gives you a parachute to prevent going splat.

So either our flight and travel forms are mounts enough to have all their disadvantages, or we should be immune to being forced out of our forms. Not both…

Our forms have so many advantages I really can’t complain. I felt kind of left out when I saw the news too but I wouldn’t trade what we have for anything that’s coming. Plus, we can still use mounts and mount equipment if we so choose. My only quibble is that we have superior modes of travel for everything but water. Aquatic form is nice but when you’re in a hurry it doesn’t hold up to water walking. Would be nice if Blizzard buffed it a bit. An increase to 160 percent or maybe just increase it when you’re near the surface or something like that.

They did it in cata.
Druids who used aquatic form in Vashj’ir were just as fast at the mounts.
I see no reason why they couldnt have kept that for all water. Just implement the same rules that travel form has while in combat.

except its ONLY for flying and officially isnt a mount. no mount addition and benefits from NO mount speed increase.

cant fly in new content until halfway through an xpac. Yet others can use their mounts at any time.

IIRC was the buff that made u move afster in water period.

The Legion mount issue seems like a no brainer to me. It’s about time Blizzard gave us real control over our forms. Whether it be more glyphs, an NPC or fingers crossed some sort of simple UI.

My point was that from a technical standpoint we have a pure advantage. Much like you, I love my forms and want them to be complete replacements for mounts and mount equipment. I just don’t see it happening.

But the druid class hall “mount” can let you carry people. That’s huge, you get a free flying passenger mount. No one else can get that for free.

extremely niche.
also if ur gonna carry soemone…use a real mount for the bonus speed :roll_eyes:

also can use it even when u cant fly.

there are much more banes to the form than their are boons.
everyone can.

buying 2 tokens and using it for a store mount. (cheaper than some vendor mounts even)

I think it would have been cool if ALL the travel forms were new somehow, not just the flight form. Might be a little ambitious/unfair to the other classes but it would have been sick

Actually, there was an item in Legion that could knock us out of our bird form midair. I believe it was a turtle shell from a rare on an island near the DK class hall. It dismounted players. I was hit with it multiple times in the free for all PvP Legion areas, though I still managed to save myself. So being knocked out of FF isn’t new to BFA.

So the whole issue is that the one specific class hall mount will not benefit from mount equipment?, can’t someone just use any other mount in his collection to gain the niche benefit that mount equipment provides?

So druids get to choose between using a regular mount that gives the benefit provided by equipment (but has a “cast” time) or the instant mount using travel form… on top of that the Legion travel form gives them a free flying passenger mount… Yeah Blizzard must really hate the druid class…

you can get anything for free fro mthe shop now.

gold is so easy to farm and tokens make subs and store options free.

can’t say its not free when you can spend less gold on tokens to buy shop stuff than some of the rep and other mounts sold by vendors.

many peopel actually play this game for free now-a-days.

why would it be unfair?

travel form is travel form. blizzard decided flight form wasn’t gonan be its own thing when they removed your control over it.

yes, the no mount gear effecting druid form is PART of the issue

but its the fact that it also suffers from fairness from the “class mount” in that druids can’t use their class “mount” until you can fly which is usually between time an xpac is half over or 3/4 over while other classes can ride theirs anytime they want w/o restrictions.

also the devs not considering them “mounts” itself is a kick in the groin as that basically says drudis never got a class mount (which is actually true as it is a mere cosmetic skin like the glyphs to bear, cat, travel forms)

that again cant be used in anythign but open world after at least half an xpacs life passes.

and the “free” bit is moot point with tokens being cheap to point that shop mounts are cheaper than vendor mounts.

I mean, sure I guess… I don’t buy stuff on the store (or mounts in the AH for that matter), I’m also pretty poor (Raiding costs quite a bit of gold) so I’d take a free flying passenger mount over my class mount which I never use (in fact it’s been about a month since the last time I saw anyone using his class mount), even if the application is niche, the Druid’s Legion “mount” or “form” still does something more than your average single player mount which imo makes it more valuable.

My point is… Yes Druids got something different from what everyone else got, it’s worse in some situations and better in others (like ANYTHING that is different)… To conclude from that that Blizzard “hates” your class is what doesn’t make any sense… In fact I’d say Blizzard loves druids, look how many new cool forms they got with the new allied races, they actually had to invest art resources to make all those custom skins specifically for Druid, even in Legion while everyone else got weapon transmogs druids got new fancy cat and bear skins which is much cooler.

Edit: I just remembered, it hasn’t been that long since the last time I saw someone using his class mount, there’s actually one that I see pretty often, guess which one is it?.. Yes, the Druid one, every time I go to Orgrimar I see it since Druids tend to use fly form over regular mounts because it’s instant, so even though it’s niche it’s still the one that I most often see.

Druids: Can we use the new mount equips on our travel form?
Blizz: No, your still a not a mount
Druids: *get knocked out of a flight form via demounting net

I would care, except that the class mount is hideous beyond description.

I got it, just to get it, and then immediately removed it to get regular flight form back.
