So just Queue up and just gain "free" rating in Shuffle? I'm not so sure

Weird. On my brand new hunter I was at 1850 MMR, went 6-0 and my points went down. Also went 5-0 once and got zero points. I mean, is the system using me or what? lol and don’t get me started on these queue times… but yeah incoming 2.1k time to stomp.

Why did the 1936 MMV horribly bad evoker, who went 2-4, get 192 points while I got like… minimal for doing some two-brained work?

Did you go 0-6 in previous lobbies?

Yes. I went afk a few times on purpose in order to make someone mad that was talking garbage. Did I get what I deserve? Also just now went 5-0 but didn’t gain much. Heh. Dropped a lot of rating just to spite someone. Karma maybe? But please do tell how I only gained this just now? I’m dominating lobbies with ease and yet gain minimal points for such queue times lol.

So what’s this all about??

Well there’s your answer!

Guess I won’t do that anymore. Do yall think that really causes the next matches to not reward me though? Yes what I did was immoral, but what I mean is, game calculations don’t take that into account right? I did well and it gave me nothing, just because of all that arguing?

In the wise words of Dozer the God of card-sliding, :credit_card: :moneybag: :dollar: Idk man ggs ig 2.6k is the avg playr mybe next time.

Feels bad to wait for such long queues and yet small gains. I’m old and I have a son to take care of lol. He watches me play but I got things to teach the boy. Can’t be sitting here all day.

Yes because /afking out basically makes you tank -150 rating, but your MMR doesn’t go down that much because the rating algorithm still thinks you’re a better player who just had a bad lobby or DC’d or something, so you’ll get queued against people who are lower CR than your MMR and you won’t gain as much, if any, until your CR comes back in line with your MMR.

I’m probably simplifying or missing something, so if this is completely off base, someone please correct me

tldr, it’s basically never worth it to ragequit, esp out of spite for one person in the lobby. I’m gonna be honest though, I’ve done similar stuff in the past a few times… But it’s really unfair to the 3rd person on your team who’s just trying to get a W, and I’ve seen LOTS of lobbies where people turn it around after going 0-3 or 0-4 and steal a couple games (and they probably wouldn’t have if we were ragging on them in the pregame lobby for mistakes made in earlier games)

Well I didn’t exactly type /afk or leave. I just kind of sat there. Dude just would not shut up about line of sight, and I actually was playing well. He blamed it on me instead of this other guy who was clueless. I mean if there was a replay function or I was recording I’d show it. I promise I didn’t D/C. I just wanted him to know to not type those things out to the wrong person or whatever you’d call it. I don’t really plan on throwing anymore but for a moment there I just wasn’t in the mood. I wanted to move on to the next solo shuffle set of matches haha. I do feel kinda bad for the others. Dang man I was fighting people at 2k now it’s like I broke a couple rungs on the ladder and have to re-do my work lmao. I got shrekt. All good though man I’ll post the progress later hopefully I pull out of this sooner rather than later. Queue times are very inconvenient.

Fyi what you described is bannable now, regardless of who was right or not

Well then. I guess it’s just a one-time thing. Just won another shuffle and only got 24 points though. Just upsetting to wait so long for so little.
