I dunno. Kalec has regressed in age emotionally and has to keep re learning the same lessons about loss, family, and friendship. Not a great partner for a late 30s, early 40s head of government and arch mage.

I’m definitely getting the vibe they won’t be a true couple, but Jaina will be Kalec’s sidechick for dates and stuff like that, maybe a fling or two lol.
Similar to Thrall and Jaina.

Yes, I wish they’d be together, but I think also showing a woman fulfilled without a man is a good thing. Their friendship is their partnership, though a little sex and more intimacy would be cool… 
EDIT PS, I was really dissappointed with the 10,000 year old emo Kalec in the Azure Span storyline. That’s not the Kalec Jaina loves.

They seem to be at that point where, having separated, they’re happy being friends/colleagues again. I don’t think they’re going to get back together. It was always a weird pairing to begin with, when Kalecgos’ initial attraction was based more on how much Jaina resembled Anveena, than anything about Jaina herself.
I’d almost say it was a well written doomed relationship, and the resolution to it where they’re on mutual good terms and find more enjoyment sharing what they have in common, rather than looking for a deeper relationship, is pretty nice.
