So, is WOW coming to Xbox?

Yeah that’s the thing i hate about consoles. “We support M+KB” on there always going to mean there’s exceptions like this or just limited instead of being native right out of the box like it is with PC games. (Which oddly was more native controller supports then consoles have M+KB supports)

I wish, I bought a DualSense just to play fighting games with and it’s always giving me headache when I try to relink it with my pc. Sony claims it to be “Native with windows!” Hot take; It’s not.

Why it would be impossible?

Sorry but current Mythic content is infinitely harder than the first Mythic Boss from Legion. the game is way more sweaty.

This is copium now.

The only thing that would make it impossible is the lack of addon support for the game, but being able to play wouldn’t be an issue at all.

Addon helps but wow already has controller support.

What I mean is that the game on console wouldn’t have DBM or weakauras; things that people regularly use on PC to raid. That would be what makes it difficult. Blizzard would have to heavily implement native addon features for it to be feasible.

It’s actually very easy. I keep a small usb mouse and keyboard by me just to easier search ah and chat. But gameplay itself is smooth on any caster.

Do you know how much of a complex mess it is to install mods in Xbox 360?

Can it be done sure But damn it’s convoluted.

I would bet anything that if I was in a key with you, you would have no idea I was on a controller. You can argue you wouldn’t join a key with a controller user, but you’d never be able to tell when people have been using them for years.

Why would you want to try wow on a xbox 360?

The feature already exist for the Series X/S.

I feel like WoW players are stuck in stone age most the time when it comes to consoles and games outside of WoW ecosystem even on PC.

I don’t care if they port it or not I’ve
said that multiple times on this thread

But it still. Doesn’t invalidate what I said Modding on the Xbox 360 Can be very convoluted.

Watching my nephew do it it’s a pain

I don’t either. I’ve even stated it before, here:

But to think it wouldn’t be doable? That’s just foully.

I never said it wasn’t doable quote me on that.

People seem to forget you can use a keyboard and mouse on the Xbox.
So Xbox players wouldnt have to use a controler.

This is not a very robust feature. There are only a handful of games with mod support on console, namely Fallout and Skyrim. These are only possible because Bethesda has its own mod storefront that people can retrieve a carefully curated list of mods from.

If Blizzard wanted to include mod support on console, they would likely have to create their own storefront where the mods are readily available through in-game menus, I.E. a native addon feature like I suggested, because the API and software consoles are built from don’t allow for the customizability PCs allow for.

WoW probably will come to Xbox, but I do think its introduction to the console ecosystem will result in a lot of discrimination against console users from PC players. That is precisely what happened with FFXIV, a game with far less complexity than WoW.

You know I just want to say one thing. You bring FF and FF has content that’s pretty difficult, I’d love to say even harder than WoW. That’s called Ultimate Fights. They’re boss gauntlets that lasts 18-22 minutes of non stop action and tight dps check points.

Wow as nothing near that when it comes to a fight. Our mythic raid are pretty difficult but the issue is mainly player coordination generally.

Anyways it’s known FF has many mods to mitigate raiding and for all kind of stuff as well. Even weak auras.

But people who play FF on PlayStation still managed to beat Ultimate fight. I think it could be done on wow too even if sounds impossible to you. Mod are a aid not a requirement.

The only thing where I think you would be right, the UI, like any MMO rpg that made it to console. Would need a consoler overhaul for yhat port. Something makes and display playing with a controller feeling more natural.

This game is built for PC in the first place to retrofit the game to play on console will be a lot of work and also reworking most classes and or spec. And it will be time consuming and resource intensive.
