Was on layer 7, floor 17, and a tower sentinel with a SINGLE MELEE SWING one shotted me. He had no buffs or anything, just approached him and opened on him with my normal rotation like I have been with the previous 16 layers. Literally a single melee swing killed me.
Blizzard pls.
UPDATE:
Switched to unholy spec (I play a dk) and got farther, got to the final boss of layer 7 and a single melee swing one shot me the first time, and the second time the boss did an uninterrupable AOE that one shot me
Final update:
Just ran this with a 5 man group and the mob damage was scaled down SIGNIFICANTLY. I’m talking layer 7, floor 10, and mobs only hitting me for 5% of my hp. Our group would pull the entire floor of npcs and aoe them all down. So basically solo scaling needs to be adjusted
Happened to me on layer one, floor 16. Floor boss hit me for 46k in one single hit. I had gotten zero phantasma powers to increase my HP, so that one hit was almost twice my total HP.
It’s supposed to be like that, we need more gear to go further.
That said, I am curious how the game generates/scales the stats for the floors, I failed layer 1 on floor 18 today at the final boss. The boss had 3.3 million HP and melee hit for almost 50k a pop. The lvl 12 boss only had 800k or so health. The jump in stats is insane, and there’s no indication as to what contributes to it.
Is it really a gear issue though? Assume I went up like 40 item levels, that melee swing would go from one shotting me, to AT BEST doing like 80% of my hp per swing. Am I supposed to heal up 80% of my max hp every second to kill this monster?
Based on some “expert” players it’s soloable and very easy. If you catch my mean by “expert” usually broken specs that have insane anima powers , or insane damage. (Like me as MM hunter pulling off 100-150k aimed shot crits) or DK army of dead basically soloing the boss. Player who never stick to spec or class they love instead just chose the best and stick with it. (Have those in guild and can’t stand these people)
Otherwise it’s a glorified horrific vision again where some specs will have it easier than others. You have to have good self heals and good damage. My guildie is paladin and every time he gets tons of self heals so he just runs trough this horrific…I mean torghats
It’s not really a gear issue. You just had unlucky powers in your 7, same thing happened to me, I just didn’t get offered my HP or DR abilities and couldn’t take the dmg from floor 15-18 on layer 7.
Tried again and it was easy with the right setup with no death runs on layer 7 and 8.
You don’t need to be decked out in mythic raid gear, you don’t need to play a FOTM spec, it’s just about having the correct specific powers. (3x lens is a plus)
Not to mention pray not to get maw of the maw as your last boss
There isn’t a huge difference in difficulty between layers, so it shouldn’t be you running into a wall if you’ve been able to complete 6, you shouldn’t struggle too much with either 7 or 8.
What were your general powers looking like at that point? Because if you’ve neglected defensive powers for that run, elites in floor 16 and 17 will turn you into mush, they don’t play.
As a survival hunter since MoP and hardcore since legion , I can tell you one thing it’s RNG (meaning in Anima powers) and it’s almost to impossible to beat the last boss in twisting corridor. I didn’t manage to kill it even I boldly say that I mastered survival hunter. Saying to someone “get gud” it’s just brain dead from you to say like that.
Either you’re player who keep switching class/spec based on performance in every expansion or you just another troll on forums who comes here to put salt on wound to people who struggle
Unless you get more then 5 of these as MM and have high crit chance trust me it’s not. I had 4 of these and I would crit for 80-120k but still with 100+K HP boss kills my pet in less then a second and me soon after aspect of the turtle with anima powers expires
And this power is stupid for SV it should increase Mongoose/raptor strike damage not kill command
What if I told you this content isn’t nessecarily supposed to be doable the first week it’s released and it’s okay to wait until you get more gear to complete it.
