I haven’t ran it in 3 weeks. Have all the legendaries I want. Finished twisting corridors. There’s literally nothing there for me. It seems like this whole system was an afterthought tbh. Many bugs, extreme imbalance between classes and specs, and a total lack of rewards. What happened?
Yes its a failure, just like island expeditions
Lot of people say they love it. I’m not one of them but many seem to like it.
The Debbie downers will say yes. It’s no where near as bad as islands and I hope they don’t give it the island treatment and don’t iterate on it. Has potential and I’m hoping for good things.
It’s a shame because it was really fun at first. I really enjoyed it, albeit I play a totally OP spec in there (arcane). The twisting corridors push was fun but I’ve literally been to the maw twice since I got the mount lol
I like it, and hope they expand on it more.
I’m not a fan of choreghast. The level design leaves a lot to be desired. Not nearly as bad as the Maw or islands but that isn’t saying much.
It has potential but BlizZard needs to listen to players.
Yes, it is terrible. It needs at least drop gear, take longer to do it than 2 mythic plus dungeon.
It depends on how you’re measuring success. Blizz will be able to say there’s great engagement with almost everyone going there. Assuming they keep the same requirement for it make and upgrade legendaries it’ll be a hit for them all expansion.
I liked that islands had collectables. Only reason to continue Torghast is to find followers for mission table.
I say it’s more boring than a failure. The parts are all there, but the tuning is awful and it needs more creative variety.
It sounds like a success to me.
I dont think it’s a failure. It is kinda boring I will admit. I wish they let us go more crazy than what we have now in terms of player power.
I think the biggest issue is wow player expect to always “win”. Hence the consistent complaints about it. I have had some few runs where I build myself wrong and ended up not able to kill the last boss but hey that was 100% my fault. The RNG in the player power does hurt from run to run but you can always compensate w/ player skill which alot of the complainers are severely lacking.
It’s much worse than islands.
No.
It has the potential to be the most innovative piece of content they’ve made. It’s a little rough around the edges, but really fun when it all works.
All they have to do is continue to expand on it instead of abandoning it.
I had a do alt run layer 2’s as a weak 170 frost dk
First layer 2 Was fine. 2nd layer 2 was crap anima powers on the way up but floors manageable and 6th floor boss that made me hate life. All deaths burned up and said screw it. Death strike was not healing enough overtime to stay current, boss whipped out 2 aoes to prevent build up of death strike.
I may not even legendary that char. I just hate the whole you don’t know how the boss will go on new chars in new class specs. Especially those of lower end of the top 10 lists as it were.
Bm hunter and vdh…how I usually do this and each is known to bypass this. What happens when you can’t bypass this. The question to ask here.
Inb4 run tanks bdk. Yeah that gets old. Did that with the havoc dh. She torghasted vdh. It’s crap design. Run the game not at how you want to to run the one you want.
The rng on anima powers is still crap. Let the 3rd and 6th vendor sell multiple powers. If hey pull the hp one i needed well then…let me buy 3 of them bad boys. If rng hates me, let me fix that at the vendor.
I like it, but I like it on fresh alts and characters that haven’t run it as much.
I first ran Torghast on my BM hunter and while it was OK, there were a lot of “filler” powers like stupid 30 second reductions on aspect of the cheetah all the time, or increase damage to pet when you use eyes of the beast (which is a stupid power).
But then I tried it on my frost dk and my vengeance DH and they had WAY better powers and more synergy (especially my frost DK).
But then I leveled my affliction warlock and holy crap! Just the power where you get 5 (or more, with more ranks of it) phantasma when using malefic rapture was a game-changer for TG, not to mention the complementary power where when you use malefic rupture there’s a 15/30/45 (with higher ranks) chance of filling your soul shards. At once point I could literally machine gun the malefic ruptures on end-level bosses and rack up the phantasma to buy out the vendors.
I can’t wait to try my affl warlock in TC (once I get the save Anduin quest - he’s only been 60 a week or so). Those same powers I experience in floors 1-6 expanded to 1-18 is going to be soooo fun. Oh, and just as a warlock having my PET be buffed is amazing. The hunter pet never gets increasing health/damage on every floor like warlock pets can. The hunter pet doesn’t get powers to buff its damage specifically (aside from kill command) by 50% or its health by 50%. Warlocks excite me about TG.
I dinged 60 on my retribution paladin yesterday and dipped my toe into TG. He’s not as fun as a warlock, but he’s still more interesting than my hunter, so I’m excited to at least do a few weeks of TG with him to get all the powers and eventually do TC.
Next I’m leveling a monk and a warrior, then I might start leveling duplicate classes (like my horde warlock and my alliance monk, etc.) with differing specs (like my demonology warlock or my BrM monk) than the other class of the opposite faction.
I wouldn’t say it’s a failure, but honestly, if I were only playing on 1 or 2 toons, I wouldn’t be going in it much anymore. It’s the “newness” of playing it on alts that is keeping me going back there willingly.
You wouldnt do it after you get yoir legendary. How is that not a failure, I dont get how people defending this
Can’t stand the maw, but honestly Torghast isn’t that bad. I enjoy running it, I just hate the reason why I am forced to run it.
Sometimes I’m really in the mood for that type of gameplay and it is pretty fun.
Soul Ash however isn’t fun.
