So is this the end of Method?

How was Swifty even with protecting by Method in the first place? Does he really still bring in money?

I always thought he was washed up and just barely hanging in there.

I have no clue about anything Josh. I have never watched a Method video so I don’t know how vile he is. LOL and I have no plans to watch them ever, or any other competitive match. I’ll just play my game and keep loving WoW.

It’s sounding like most of them knew so, yeah, it should be the end of Method.

People have really short memories when things don’t affect them personally.

Doubt it nothing will change.

Then they will die a painful death.

This is absolutely the death of the Method brand, if they have any self respect.
I don’t see any sponsors touching them for a good while.

They’ll rebrand and be the same organization internally, but I don’t think we’ll see “Method” competing in the worst first or MDI, or any other e-sports tournaments.

Pretty sure they made their money don’t think they really care.

It absolutely is the death of Method, and their members’s tweets only keep enraging people. This is really not going well.

Method statement on Josh

We are sorry.

Josh was released earlier today from Method because of his gross misconduct. At the time of the Kotaku article last year we had received an email from an unknown 3rd party “Jane Doe” which led to management collectively preparing a statement, as follows;

“All of us at Method take the welfare of minors seriously, including their safety on the internet. If you feel you have evidence that anybody, inside or outside of Method, has been behaving in a predatory or illegal manner we strongly encourage you to contact the police and make a report, so that a thorough - and proper - investigation can occur.”

Recently substantiated accusations on social media have cast a light on Josh’s behaviour that has disturbed us all, resulting in our immediate action to remove him from the organisation. In retrospect, we deeply regret that we did not act sooner.

It has been circulating on social media that Method and specifically the guild were internally aware of the extent of Josh’s behaviour; this is categorically untrue and sickening to read.

We will be overhauling our internal policies to make sure nothing like this ever happens again.

Gotta like the “this is categorically untrue and sickening to read.”

When a Former Blizz Employee tweeted right after that this is a lie.

Didn’t Blizzard remove the swifty npc from ashran/remove it from the achievement?

They released him before this post was even made.

There seems to be enough evidence to indicate that some degree of impropriety occurred and it wasn’t just a conjured up story, but the full extent is inconclusive.

Yay, go limit! :yum:

The post is fine
but i’m questioning how accurate their statement is with regards to Jeremiah Bonjean Former Marketing Lead for Blizzard Entertainment following up posting:

“This is a lie. Your org told my old team at Blizzard you were looking into it two years ago. You knew enough, and you failed to protect your community and organization by enabling an abuser.”

The first article about Josh’s behavior came out how long ago? Feb 2019? Dude was banned from Twitch like a year ago. Maybe they can pretend they didn’t know before that, but from then on they knew and did nothing. That’s what’s sickening.
