The store-bought transmog, pre-order items and recruit-a-friend stuff keeps disappearing.

I told Bob to fix it this morning. I told him he is not leaving work today until it’s fixed.
We are going to have a long conversation about his performance review tomorrow after the weekly meeting.
I think the store mogs are running off and doing the double listing in the looking for group window.

what makes this a really fun bug is you can have 2 chars wear it.
and it vanishes off only 1 of them.
MY murlock backpack was like this. Vanished off char 1. Log into char 2…okay its still there. even the bug…is buggy. It can’t even be consistent lol.
all do safe log out. I always park in a rested area even at level cap.

Sounds like a really bad problem to have on items purchased from the store 
But I think people have been complaining about other items from the store doing this for years so I doubt it will be fixed. Enjoy!

this and ye olde stuck in combat (and you aren’t, it ended 3 minutes ago even lol) are old friends to many.

It is account specific. If it happens, completely close your game and log back in and it should fix it.
They are looking into a fix for it. I know it’s account specific because I lose the mog on one account but not the other 4.

I appreciate the help but this didn’t solve my problem. I completely closed out BNet to no avail.
it’s not the end of the world, or anything dramatic but gosh, it is SO annoying.
Oof, ya that stinks =( yeah when I had the issue I logged in and out and it fixed it but apparently it isn’t a guaranteed thing to fix it.

If it’s anything like the last time we had a similar bug, it’s really inconsistent, which makes it harder for the dev team to reproduce internally, which makes fixing it very hard.
For context on the last one, it took them months to even figure out what was broken, and (more importantly), how it was breaking, both of which are required to be able to even start working on a fix.
Just seems like it’d be a simple fix.
Mail the store items to the account holder and just learn them like any other transmog. Those never seem to vanish.

You know I’m surprised they didn’t do that. I know the xmog helmets from a long time ago they used to do that.
Without knowing how it internally works, we can’t really comment on this. Plus, it’s not uncommon for fixing one bug to end up breaking something else.
Maybe that’s true. Just don’t understand why they don’t;
They supposedly fixed it in 9.2.5.
And then it wasn’t fixed.
But they’ll still keep selling stuff.

It never “stays” gone though.
If I close the game entirely, and come back in, stuff usually comes back.
It’s a weird bug tough, hasn’t happened to me in a while, but I remember the 1st time I lost my butterfly transmog and I thought I was crazy that I couldn’t find it.
I had my entire friend’s list go blank yesterday.
If any of them actually liked me, they could have missed me
