Even if it was still up, the servers would be dead since the masses/general public are moving on to Wrath classic
You wouldn’t have anyone to play with (most likely), so it’s a moot point

Hopefully. 
It really was quite terrible.
I enjoyed it for a bit till I started raid Karazhan for raid gear. Got repetitive and it made me puke. At first I thought I could raid all the way up to the black temple and illidan but nah Kara was it and I unsubscribed. Forget gdkp and $ paying for being carried.
Probably will be the same thing with wotlk and I will quit during nax but maybe in this classic edition I may go a bit farther

There hasn’t been anything announced about a Season of Mastery for BC. I imagine due to the low number of people still playing Classic SoM they didn’t feel it would be useful to segregate the community even more with a BC SoM.
If it is something you want I’d suggest making a new thread suggesting the creation of one. I bet they are ready to create a server or two if there is visible interest.
I’d be somewhat surprised if they did a SoM for TBC. SoM for Classic didn’t seem to drag that many people back.
I’m sure once wotlk drops on the 26th, there will be an option to stay on a TBC realm or something.
I highly doubt Blizz is just gonna let it be gone-gone.

Don’t know about that. TBC did a lot for the game, but Wrath was a better experience overall. TBC may have helped grow the player base, but Wrath HELD that number for a good portion of the expansion.
Blue post says otherwise.
TBC servers become Wrath servers entirely.

except they rushed it. black temple became ulduar 2.0 with only 4 months given for us to raid black temple then they rushed sunwell as well. the whole thing reeks of a cash grab.

Jumping to Wrath?
I don’t think it is. I think it’s recognizing that players really want to play Wrath, them seeing the low participation in TBC, and making a call. Probably the right one, in this case. Wrath might actually bring a good portion of people back, just based on the content of it alone.

In hindsight, I’d have to agree.
Some people will claim “that isn’t free then”, but that’s splitting hairs.
You’ve always paid for Retail. Classic was just something they threw in as an “extra”.
